(this is a sort of sequins of events)

Yeah, and he was all 'oh my god he caught my arm!' Then Captain America was like 'how did you do it kid' and was like 'where you from?'" Natasha couldn't help but smile when she heard the kid rambling, his tone ecstatic and sounding like he had just seen the coolest thing ever. Peter had just been introduced to the avengers and he was ecstatic. the kid was so pure, so innocent and she couldn't help but smile.

Natasha sat at the table, sharpening her knives then carving something on wood. "Wow, that's so cool!" Peter exclaimed when he noticed what Natasha was doing. Natasha looked at Peter curiously. No kid had ever been like this to her, most of them were scared or intimidated, but not Peter. No, Peter was special, Peter was like a kid that was just happy to be included and she hated to admit it but that was one of the cutest aspects of the kid. "can I watch?" Peter asked slightly cautious. "sure kid," Natasha said with a small smile. Peter sat down and watched, asking occasional questions. Natasha could tell he was holding back from asking more. he was a cute kid, she had to admit.

Natasha walked through the hallway when she heard tiny sniffles from the kid's room. Peter's aunt had just died and he was staying at the tower. he was acting like he was fine, but all of the avengers could tell he wasn't. she couldn't help but feel horrible for the kid so she slowly Peered into the room. she saw the kid crying and walked in, approaching Peter's bed. Peter's spidey senses told him she was coming so he tried to hide his tear-soaked face but Natasha had already seen it. she sat down on his bed and mumbled something to herself then started to lightly sing a Russian lullaby, gently pulling the blanket from Peter's face and tracing her finger down his nose and back up to Peter's hair, running her fingers through it. She felt so stupid doing that, but Peter didn't seem to mind so she didn't stop. Peter, in fact, seemed like he was about to fall asleep, his eyelids slowly falling down. Eventually, she saw Peter's eyes close and his face turn into one of peace. Natasha didn't leave though. The excuse she gave herself was that maybe the kid hadn't completely fallen asleep, and he was just half asleep. So she continued singing the lullaby and continued running her fingers through Peter's hair, feeling a calmness fall over herself.

Natasha looked down at the sleeping boy. ever since the night she saw Peter crying, anytime she wanted or needed to calm down she would sneak into Peter's room when he was sleeping and do the same thing she did that night, but she would die before anyone found out. little did she know, Peter was aware of her habit but never mentioned it. part of him didn't want her to stop, and the other part knew she didn't want anyone to know so he didn't say anything. Natasha ran her fingers through Peter's curly brown hair, quietly mumbling a Russian lullaby. "Ms.Romanoff?" Came Peter's tired quiet voice from the blankets he was wrapped up in. Natasha looked down at Peter. "Hush паук ребенок, sleep," she said. Peter was going to reply but with his body already half asleep and with Natasha running her fingers through his hair, and humming a soft tune Peter fell fast asleep.

Peter sat at the island, ranting about some movie he watched. "kid, what did I saw about your sifi, pop-culture things?" Tony said. Peter smirked. "to not do it in the lab," Tony opened his mouth to say something but shut it, realizing he couldn't say anything back. "nice one паук ребенок," Natasha said with a slight smile. Steve and Tony looked at her confused. "what did you call him?" Steve asked. "паук ребенок, why? you guys have your nicknames for him, why can't I have mine?" Natasha said defensively. Tony and Steve exchanged a look but shrugged nonetheless. "thanks Ms.Romanoff," Peter said with a smile, clearly proud of his retortion. she ruffled Peter's hair with a small smile.

Natasha listened to the conversation, absent-mindedly running her fingers through Peter's hair, not even noticing she was doing it, Peter sitting in a chair and Natasha standing above him. Tony looked at her with a grin and elbowed Steve. they could both tell she was starting to warm up to Peter, then again, who wasn't? Natasha noticed the two staring at her with a stupid look on their faces. she looked at them confused until she realized she was playing with Peter's hair. she quickly stopped making Peter look up at her. "sorry паук ребенок," she said. "It's fine Ms.Romanoff," Peter said with an innocent smile that couldn't help but make Natasha smile slightly.

all of the avengers were sitting on the couch on a movie marathon. by the fourth movie, Peter's eyelids started to fall and he was thrown into a deep sleep, his head falling onto Natasha's lap. Natasha ran her fingers through Peter's hair and smiled lightly. she grabbed the blanket he was previously wrapped in and placed it over him. Steve smirked and elbowed Tony. "looks like someone's trying to steal your kid," he said. "he's not my kid. and besides, I'll always be his favorite," Steve chuckled. "but it is good she likes him," Tony noted. "yeah, I mean this is a sight I never thought I'd see," Steve remarked.
