BennyThe loud chatters of the tons of people around filled my ears. Mixed with the smell of funnel cake and the many fried foods the place had to offer.
"Oh I am so excited. We haven't gone to the fair at all in months!" Carrie stated, excitedly flailing her hands around.
"Geez, why are you so enthusiastic today?" William questioned, perking up a curious eyebrow.
"Oh because Amora and Grayson are coming. She said it wasn't a 'date', but it most certainly is in my book" she explained, clapping her hands with a wide smile.
Immediately I blocked their conversation out, looking over towards Josie who stood next to me. I took her hand, pulling her in closer and wrapping my arms around her.
"Well geez you're touchy today. What's up with you you're never like that?" She questioned, laughing lightly as she looked up at me.
"Nothing.." I replied, trailing off as I shook with my head with a shrug.
"Oh finally! We've been waiting for years!" Carrie exclaimed, throwing her hands up.
"You had us waiting for 30 minutes. Where the hell have you guys been?" William scolded, placing his hands onto his hips.
I looked over, feeling my heart clench at the sight of Amora and Grayson walking over, her hand linked onto his arm with a small smile painted on her face.
"Oh my god. Grayson barely got off of his shift you doofus, shut up" Amora explained, dismissing him away with a wave.
"Ok, Gray listen" she started, turning towards him as she waved him in closer.
"Stay away from that ride. It's major puking zone according to these adolescents that decided to chew tobacco beforehand" she explained, pointing towards Bertram.
"Oh my god, it was one time!" Bertram exclaimed, throwing his hands up.
"Yeah genius, one time that shouldn't have even happened!" She shot back, shaking her head at him.
"Alright! Are we going or what, let's go" Carrie huffed, grabbing onto Yeah-Yeah's hand before pulling him away.
I watched as they walked away before Josie took my hand, tugging me along behind them.

"How do you like it?" Josie questioned, biting onto the corn dog in her hand.
I glanced down at the food in front of me and shrugged. I looked up and immediately found it hard to reply when seeing Amora and Grayson who both stood in front of a cotton candy cart.
I watched seeing she was talking to him, seeming like she was rambling as she watched the cotton candy that was being spinned onto a stick. While Grayson kept his gaze on the cart guy and here and there nodded his head.
She told me they weren't dating, but I find that very hard to believe watching them. From anyone's perspective they sure looked like a couple standing next to each other.
