3 years ago, far away from Seoul...

"I'm home!"

Wooyoung took off his school shoes and put on his slippers that his mother got one for each of his family members. An aromatic smell of food wafted through his nose and he hummed with a smile, loving the good smell of his mom's cooking. He walked to the kitchen to see his mom packing food in containers.

Confused, he asked, "Who are these for, mom?"

"Ah, these," his mother finished tying them in yellow fabrics and added, "are for the new neighbor that moved next to us today."

Wooyoung looked at his mother and then remembered seeing the moving truck leaving the neighborhood when he was on his way home from his evening tuition class. "Someone finally moved into the house next to us, huh. A whole family?"

"Yes, parents with one son about your age." His mother nodded.

A son?

He held a smile from forming on his lips. At least he'll have a new friend to hang out and it's been lonely since his other neighbors that his age were all girls. He's nowhere near good around them. Plus, their mothers wouldn't stop matchmaking him with their daughters. Don't get him wrong, the girls were kind and all but it's best to stay as neighbors. And when a new family moved in with a son about his age, Wooyoung couldn't help feeling excited to meet him.

"Mom, do you want me to give them the food?" He ended up offering and his mother was more than happy for him to help.

Ding dong!

Wooyoung stood at the gate as he waits, hearing noises from inside the house and a few voices yelling.

"Honey, can you go check who's at the door?"

"I'm kinda busy right now!"

"Aish, just for a minute!"

"I am busy! Go ask our son, he's upstairs."

...

He heard the front door opening and when the gate swung open, Wooyoung lifted the containers he's holding and prepared to say his words he's been rehearsing in his head. Though he didn't realize his mouth wasn't running but his eyes were occupied staring at the tall boy in front of him. Even his lungs stopped breathing for air as he held his breath but it's not his fault, the person before him was the one who took his breath away.

"Um, how can I help you?"

"Eh?"

Wooyoung snapped out of his stare and cleared his throat out of embarrassment. He inhaled quickly and greeted him with a smile, "Hi, I'm the neighbor that lives next door to you. My mom made some food for you and your family. Please accept these." The tall boy happily accepted the food with a smile and nodded. "Thank you very much, uh..."

"Wooyoung. Jung Wooyoung."

"Ah, okay, thanks, Wooyoung-a. I'm Park Seonghwa, by the way." He introduced himself. Wooyoung nodded with a grin, thinking of how the name suit the pretty boy. And told himself to not fall for a new boy every time he meets one.

The next morning, just as he closed the gate of his house he saw Seonghwa was leaving his house as well. He watched his school uniform and realized they both go to different schools, which he was a little disappointed at that. Well, at least they can walk to school together, he hoped his neighbor is okay with it.

"Hey, Seonghwa-hyung."

He called out after knowing the boy next door is a year older than him. The taller turned his head to the right, strands of hair falling over his eyes and Wooyoung held his urge to continue to stare. "You wanna walk to school together with me? I can show you the way to your school since it's near mine and I take the same street as well."
