Chapter 18 - Auggie's Party

Maya smiled looking at the decorated apartment while she was slowly thinking back about the baby.
Seeing as Auggie was turning 8 years old today she had nothing on her mind except him but she also didn't ever think she would become a mom in just a few months.

"What's wrong, Maya?" Auggie asked as Maya looked at the kid.
"Nothing, Buddy. Why do you think something is wrong?" Maya asked.
"You're in thought," Auggie said.
"Just thinking about the baby. Don't you worry. I'm fine. So are you enjoying your birthday?" Maya asked.

Looking over at his girlfriend how she and Auggie were talking Josh smiled never thinking he would call that girl his girlfriend nor that they would become parents soon.
Shaking his head he continued in his conversation with his brother.

"How is the house hunting going?" Cory said.
"Don't ask. It's actually going good but I don't know. Things also seem so difficult with Maya. I know I shouldn't think something is wrong but it feels like she's hiding something from me. I caught her the other day looking at birth complications. I know I was born early and everything but she's going a little overboard with worrying. I just hope I can get her to relax," Josh said.
