Chapter 2 - Telling Josh

New Years Eve.
Maya was with Josh on the top of the roof trying to figure out how to tell him that he is going to be a father.
With no idea how she figured to just go for it.

"Can you believe it? The year is almost done. In a matter of a few minutes the new year starts off," Josh said and Maya smiles.
"Yeah I can't. I have something to tell you," Maya said as she looked at Josh.
"You have. Okay. What do you have?" Josh asked.
"You're going to be a father," Maya said and Josh's eyes widened.
"What? Maya are you.." .
"Yeah. Yeah I'm pregnant," Maya said.

"Wow," Josh said trying to catch his breathe.
"Is that all you're gonna say?" Maya asked.
"I don't know what you want me to say. We're having a baby," Josh said and Maya smiled.
"Yeah we are. How do you feel about it?" Maya asked.
"Definitely surprised. When did you find out?" Josh asked.
"Yesterday. I haven't know for that long. I just wanted to let you know as soon as possible," Maya said.
"Thank you. I appreciate that. Do you want to tell them immediately or..."
"We can wait till we are used to the idea. We don't have to rush anything," Maya said trying to remain calm.
"We're having a baby. How far are you?" Josh asked.
"Twelve weeks and one day," Maya said.
"Wow that is pretty much far," Josh said.
"I don't know how to feel about this," Maya said.
"Well neither do," Josh said laughing causing Maya to frown.
"It's not a joke, Josh," Maya said.
"I know, Gorgeous. I know. I also know we are young. You're not even sixteen... But I know we can do it. I know it," Josh said.
"Two young teenagers who have no idea how to really raise a baby? Yeah, we're messed up," Maya said as Josh threw his arms around her waist.

"We maybe are messed up. But this is something to be excited about and even if we are young I can't wait to start my life with you," Josh said.
"In this kind of way? My mother is going to throttle me," Maya said.
"Sure she's gonna realize it even?" Josh asked and Maya laughed.
"Maybe not," Maya said as the fireworks went off.
"Happy New year," Josh said.
"Happy new year," Maya said as she gave Josh a kiss.
