Harry waited impatiently for Draco by the Black Lake. It was the middle of the night and, after the stress he was going through for the first task, all he wanted to do was hold the gorgeous boy in his arms and snuggle into him. He couldn't think of a better reward for surviving the Hungarian Horntail. When he locked eyes with him during the fight with the dragon, he felt as if his confidence had lifted and that his heart exploded with happiness inside his chest when Draco gave him that amazing smile he absolutely adored.
''Harry?'' Harry looked up to see a pair of stunning silver eyes staring at him with worry. He immediately launched himself onto Draco, causing them both to topple down on the grass.
''Blimey, love. You sure seemed to have missed me,'' he said, forming that smirk that Harry loved.
''Just kiss me already, you git.''
And Draco did just that. He kissed Harry with so much passion that they didn't want to pull away. Harry's hands found their way to the gorgeous boy's platinum blond hair and they postitioned themselves there. Draco's hands, however, searched Harry's body impatiently for a resting place. They finally decided that one would stay in the Golden Boy's lucious hair and one would rub circles around his back.
After a minute of the blissful moment, they broke apart to catch their breath.
''Are you okay? No injuries that Madam Pomfrey didn't notice?'' Draco asked, remembering why they were there.
''Madam Pomfrey notices everything.'' Harry made a small chuckle.
''Harry, I'm being serious.''
''I'm okay. But fighting that Hungarian Horntail was really scary.''
''Describe what you felt.'' Draco's eyes were filled with worry.
''I really was scared. I thought that I probably wouldn't make it out alive or, even worse, walk away like a coward. But then I saw you and...'' He trailed off.
''Harry, love, I know exactly how you felt. When the dragon first started attacking you and you were struggling to fight it I...I...''
''You what?'' Harry asked with a concerned look on his face.
''I cried, Harry. If Longbottom and Blaise weren't there with me, I would've been the coward. I prayed that you would be alright. I was so scared that, when you fell out of the arena, you were-''
But he didn't finish his sentence, because great sobs began coming out of his throat. Harry pulled him on his lap and rubbed his back soothingly as Draco buried his head in his chest, sobbing uncontrollably.
''I'm sorry-I'm just worried-you've been going through so-much,'' he hiccuped.
''Shh, Draco, love. It's okay. I'm here. You don't need to worry.'' Harry held Draco tighter.
Once the sobs subsided, Draco got off of Harry's lap so they could lie together on the grass.
''Better?'' Harry asked.
Draco nodded.
''Okay. Now, I know I've been going through so much, but that was all without you by my side. After we got together, I can't imagine what my life would be without you. You made me happier, Draco,'' Harry said passionately.
Draco snuggled up closer to Harry and buried his face in the crook of his boyfriend's neck.
''That's the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me,'' he muttered, tears forming in his eyes, but he quickly wiped them away so Harry wouldn't notice.
''I'm guessing you don't get compliments that often, huh?'' Harry chuckled lightly, which caused Draco to giggle.
''No, not really. It's not really nice when your parents are Death Eaters.''
