Before Lydia could say anything further, I ran to the bathroom. I saw Whizzer stare at me, and I met his gaze for a split second before turning around and running further and with more stamina.

I'm not stupid. Whizzer knows I'm not stupid. Lydia knows I'm not stupid. I knew Ivy wasn't going to make it.

And deep down in my heart, before Falsettos took over my life, I knew I wasn't going to see Katrina again, no matter how much I begged Samantha. It's not that I didn't want to be in Samantha's care anymore, it's that I wanted to see my sister. To talk to her. To get to know her.

To actually have a sister.

I stood in the mirror and brushed my long red hair with my fingers, attempting not to cry.

Suddenly, I heard an ear-piercing scream from someone, and I immediately recognized the scream as Whizzer's. This couldn't be good. At all.

I gave up hope. Ivy was probably gone. And I didn't even get to say goodbye to her.

"Josie?" I heard Lydia say, knocking on the bathroom door. "Josie, it's Lydia, can I please come in?" I let out a soft "Yeah?" and Lydia came into the bathroom and hugged me.

"Was that Whizzer screaming?" I asked. Lydia nodded and said, "He's a dramatic kid, that's for sure?"

"I would scream too if I found out my best friend died." I said under my breath. Which wasn't true. My best friend did die, and I didn't scream.

"Oh Josie." Lydia said, hugging me and giggling. Wow. Lydia was in denial about this whole thing.

"What?" I asked, clearly confused.

"Did you think Ivy was dead? Whiz was screaming in excitement. Ivy woke up. I was going to tell you earlier, but you ran away." Lydia said.

And that's when I screamed. I screamed and jumped into Lydia's arms. "I can't believe it!" I squealed. Lydia put me down and took my hand, and we sprinted off to Ivy's hospital room.

"Woah, hey guys. Whiz, Josie..." Ivy said when we entered. I could not stop squealing.

"LYDIA!" Ivy squealed. Lydia squealed as well and silenced Ivy with a kiss. I also squealed and then hugged Ivy. "I thought you died!"

"Oh, Josie!" Ivy said, laughing and hugging me tighter. "I'm right here, okay?"

"Hey guys." Whizzer said, pulling something out of his pocket. "I brought cards with me. Let's play Go Fish."

"Watch out, Josie, I'm the champion at this game." Lydia said. Ivy laughed and shuffled the cards.

I felt my phone vibrate and pulled it out. "Oh, hey guys, Stephanie's here to pick me up, apparently. Gotta go guys, love you all."

"Love ya too, Josie! We'll keep you updated!" Ivy yelled as I walked out of the hospital.

I was greeted with not only Stephanie, but the entire Falsettos cast in nice dresses and suits.

"What are you guys doing?" I asked. Brandon cleared his throat and said, "We went to Katrina's funeral just now."

"WHAT?!" I screamed. "WITHOUT ME?!" I started crying and I didn't know how to feel.

"Well, we were all ready to go, and it didn't really hit us that you were gone until...we were all in the car on the way to the church." Andrew said.

I couldn't believe they went without me. They didn't even know my sister. I was her sister, if anything, I should be at that funeral without them.

I hated how they were weaseling their way into my life. I hated that so much.

Instead of saying anything, I ran.

AN: To all the people I tricked into thinking Ivy was dead...April Fools! This was the best prank I've pulled in a long time! Hope you enjoyed! Catch ya later!
