Decaying loyalty: Bullet's StoryBullet was a normal dragonet, you could say. His family wasn't allowed in the Wraith Kingdom, because he was a hybrid. Wraithwing hybrids aren't accepted, especially not with Stormwings. His mother was a soldier in the Stormwing army, and his father stayed home with Bullet. Thus, everything he learned was from his father.
Bullet wasn't too bothered that he didn't know his mother that well. She occasionally showed up whenever she wasn't needed on the battlefield, but Bullet still never got to know her.
Being raised by his father meant two things. One, he never made any friends. His father was very strict on making sure Bullet paid attention, so he never had time nor was he allowed to make friends. Second, he was being taught how to be a warrior. His father wanted Bullet to be like his mother and go into the Stormwing military. Bullet wasn't a huge fan of this idea, but never resisted.
However, as Bullet grew up, as usual, he got more rebellious. He was practically an adult, he should be able to make his own decisions. He didn't need to be taught self defense, he would be able to handle himself. This went on for a while, with Bullet getting more and more distant from his family.
One day, his father was pushing for Bullet to prove himself as a warrior. Something snapped, and Bullet stormed out of the house in rage. "You know what? Fine. I'll go prove that I'm worth something." The angered Bullet didn't even care what he would do.
By the time he had gotten himself together, he realized that the deed was already done. He had proved that he was a warrior, but not the way his father intended. He went home that day with blood on his talons.
His father was reasonably angry, but was horrified when he learned the identity of the dragon whom Bullet had killed.
They got into an argument over it, and Bullet ended up leaving their house for good. The guilt of killing his mother wasn't enough to stop his immeasurable anger at his father for making him this way. Regardless, the hybrid made his leave from the kingdom before the justice system caught up to him.
Not knowing where else to go, he went to the Wraith Kingdom, with his other tribe. He met a Wraithwing around his age named Blackout, who decided to come with Bullet once they got kicked out of the kingdom for being a hybrid. Again.
So, Bullet decided to take a trip to the rival kingdoms. Turns out, they both rejected him faster than the Wraithwings. However, he did pick up two more followers: the twins Timeshifter and Wormhole, both Eternitywings.
He also came across a Starwing named Lunar, which was crazy lucky, since the Starwings were supposedly gone forever. Bullet soon found that he had a crush on Lunar, but he never said anything about it.
The group became outlaws from all of the tribes, named Team Bullet after their leader.
They eventually decided to become a group of hired assassins that worked for no side in particular, although they got very few requests. Young dragons aren't usually very experienced, so Bullet pushed his team, and himself, to train more. Which is very ironic, considering how he got there in the first place.
Team Bullet had a rough start, so they decided to try their luck in the Wraith Kingdom, where the tribe had been split up after a new queen had taken over. The disorganized dragons may be desperate enough to hire an assassin or two.
Little did they know, or expect, what would happen next.
And when they found themselves on the doorstep of the Stormwing palace weeks later, they didn't expect a welcoming party.Yo Arcee, I did it for ya. I mean, it took me a while, because I haven't been feeling very inspired lately, but... hey, it's finally done. Hope that it's accurate enough. Cheers!
