Lindsey's POV
The miners hideout is the coolest of all of the life master places. It seems like half a cave. But the middle is bathed in sunlight. Aww! I'm rubbing off on Emma! She's pale! Hmm... Maybe that's not a good trait. The fact is, I know she's thinking about something important. Because that's when I do it. When I do that, I want to vent to somebody. And from all Emma and I have been through, it's probably about me. Maybe the king will listen to her. I shouldn't go. Done. "Hey, guys... I'm gonna wait out here. I'm uhh... Hungry. I'm gonna go into the forest and eat my lunch." "Why can't you eat after we go find Angela's pic?" Emma asks. "I'm super hungry!" I'm starving! Ahhh, the pain!" I try my best to make myself funny enough to be convincing. My ears are burning red hot. Something about the look the King is giving me. I begin to walk away. I look around. Emma is looking at me with the corner of her eye. I can tell. It hurts not to be in on this. But I'm good. I'm a hero. And heroes have to sacrifice stuff. I think. Ok, maybe I'll go in after 15 minutes or so.
Emma's POV
Lindsey... She just left. Like that. Maybe she saw me all nervous and stuff.
