Titans

I came out of my room in gear before I followed the hallways to the main room. I almost tackled straight into Garfield who was turning the corner. I jerked to a stop but Garfield just smiled at me and called out, "Come on let's get a move on. We've got a city to save." I rolled my eyes as he jumped in the air and smacked the top of the door. I entered the main room right behind Garfield to see Kory standing in front of the tv saying, "It's Trident and Tempest again."

Aqualad sighed before he said aggressively, "Not them again. Any more of this nonsense and my king will have to bring the army to squash this rebellion living at the shores." I shift uneasily at the thought of the Atlantians having to fight under the surface before Kory said, "They are trying to flood the levee at the bay. We've been alerted at their activity by the security crew before we lost contact with them. They said that some Atlantean's may be with them as they looked somewhat like them."

    She looked at all of us before I saw the screen change from the logo to security camera. I saw what looked like a Caucasian male with ebony hair walking towards the door. The water seemed to swallow the guards and pull them out of view before I saw a rather large metal hook catch a guards neck and slam him into the ground.

   I saw another man. He seemed more like a catfish than man with a squished face and thin whiskers coming from his cheeks. He had a slightly human like build however. He was approaching behind the other man before he slammed in the door. The hooked man looked at the camera with a terrifying smile before the camera cut out.

   I felt myself stiffen at the thought of the man before Kory said, "I want each of you to investigate. Beast Boy, Aqualad, and Superboy will be at the oceans edge with the invaders trying to break through the levees concrete walls." They nodded before she looked at us and said "Raven, Batgirl, and Robin." We nodded before she said "You will go with cyborg into the levee itself and make sure the controls continue to work properly."

   We nodded before she told Blue beetle, "You and I will do perimeter. Nothing gets in our out." He nodded before she said, "Alright Titans. Let's go." Garfield ran towards the elevator with a yell, "I'm driving!" I saw Ravens jaw drop before she yelled "Garfield don't you dare!"

We made it down to the main level before Cyborg said, "Alright. Get in the tank everyone." I blinked at him surprised before I saw what he was referencing. The large silver and blue tank was already being shimmied into by Beast boy and Raven before Cyborg followed. I shook my head at that and said, "I'll just follow on my bike."

    Beast boy shook his head before saying, "Just like Damian keeping himself at a distance from us. Come be apart of the team." Raven scolded him slightly before I went towards my bike. While I didn't considered myself part of the team I didn't mean to keep myself at a distance from them.

    Damian shook his head at Gar before he said, "Ignore the walking asparagus. He just wishes we both were more trusting. Despite our job he still views life optimistically while we view it with rational thoughts."

I nodded in agreement before I said, "I don't mean to hold myself at a distance though." Damian shook his head and said, "Your just reserved we both are. You don't keep yourself at arms length just reserved on who you trust. Comes with the job. However I did notice you getting along with Raven which is the opposite of keeping a distance. An empath is like revealing everything to someone. Gar just doesn't see that."

I nodded before he spun his bike around and started towards the ramp. I started mine and attached the helmet before I engaged the weapons system.

    I spun after Damian with a roar from the engine. I rolled out of the garage before I saw those on the team who could fly long distances floating. They were ready. Once the armored tank car made it outside we headed off. Damian and I rocked on the streets while those who flew made a direct trip that way.
