Please Come Home part 1

Betty's pov:

B-"Are you sure you don't mind watching him again V?"

V-"Of course not, I love watching this little cutie"

She ran her hairy though Jayden's curly blonde hair, he giggled which made me chuckle a bit.
Veronica Lodge, we have been best friends since we were 5. She is dating Reggie Mantle, they are high school sweethearts just like Jug and I. They have their own house where Jayden even has his own room, he is spoiled rotten whenever he is with his auntie V and uncle Reggie.

B-"Ok well you two have fun, I'll pick him up after I'm done with work ok?"

V-"Ok, we're gonna have so much fun aren't we Jay?"

J-"Yeah!"

He smiled big and we both laughed. I grabbed my purse and walked over to Jayden then gave him a kiss on his head and he gave me a hug.

J-"I love you mama"

B-"I love you too my sweet boy, be good for auntie V ok"

He nodded and then gave my belly a hug

J-"I love you too sissy"

He whispered to my baby bump and gave it a small kiss then climbed into his car seat in Veronica's car.

B-"Thank you again V, I love you and I'll text you when I'm on my way"

V-"Ok I love you too but please don't stress your self out"

B-"I won't"

She pulled me into a hug and squeezed me but not too tight making sure not to hurt the baby. She slid into her car and drove away, I saw Jayden stick his little arm out the window and wave to me. I chuckled then walked to my car and slid in, I started my car and drove to work.

I walked into the Riverdale Register and was greeted by my coworker Sophie.

B-"Hey Sophie! Sorry I'm late, I had to wait for Jayden to get picked up from the house"

S-"It's fine, I've been working on tomorrow's newspaper. What do you think?"

She handed me the pages she had written, I sat down at my desk then read them over. I added onto some sentences to make them longer. I then handed it back to her and she read it over and smiled then started to edit it while I worked on my half of the newspaper.

S-"Ok I'm done with my part for the night, do you want me to stay and lock up?"

B-"No I'll do it"

S-"Ok, I'll see you tomorrow, have a good night!"

B-"You too"

We both waved as she walked out. I stood up to stretch my back and let out a groan. I sat back down and continued to edit tomorrow's paper.

B-"Finally"

I sighed to my self as I finished the last sentence. I rubbed my hand over my baby bump and giggled when I felt her kick, I stood up and grabbed my purse as my stomach growled.

B-"I know that your hungry baby girl, but we have to go pick up your brother. Then I'll eat"

I grabbed the keys and locked up then got in my car and texted Veronica I was on my way before I started my car and drove off.

I knocked on Veronica's door before coming in, I saw her with Jayden in her lap and a glass of wine in her hand, Jayden was sleeping and Veronica was running her hand threw his hair while taking a sip of her wine. She then saw me and smiled then moved Jayden to the side of her and got up then walked over to me.

B-"How was he?"

V-"He was great, after we had dessert we watched paw patrol then he laid down on my lap and fell asleep"

I chuckled and walked over to Jayden and moved a piece of hair out of his face then walked to Veronica who was in the kitchen.

V-"B, have you eaten today?"

I looked down then looked back up and avoided eye contact as I started to wipe down her kitchen counter

B-"So um w-where's Reggie?"

V-"No no no, don't try and change the subject. Have you eaten today?"

B-"No" (whispers)

V-"B, you have to eat, your pregnant"

B-"I know, I'm just stressed and whenever I look in the mirror I see how fat I am, a-and I don't wanna eat"

Tears welled in my eyes as I looked down, I felt Veronica wrap her arms around me and pull me into a hug.

V-"Your beautiful B and to hell with anyone who thinks different"

I smiled at her and wiped my tears

B-"Thanks V"

V-"Of course! Now, you need to eat. Let me whip you up some food"
