FRIENDS.
season two | episode six.
the one where renjun picks up old habits

"Where'd you get that money from?" Jaemin narrowed his eyes at his friend, watching as she rounded the couch and sat confidently at Renjun's lap— stealing his bagel and taking a bite from it.

"I- What the—" The brunette's entire body froze— his cheeks turning a dark shade of red as he became flustered by the sudden display of intimate affection.

Ignoring his awkward fidgeting, Hwa Young spoke— her chin cockily raised higher than anyone in their group. "I got the money from my 'For when I have a really good impulse' savings account," She chirped— her tone high pitched as it was laced with joy.

"You're literally gonna have a baby in one to two months," Jeno pointed out, unamused from her decision. "Couldn't you have said that money? I don't know for your child's college tuition?"

"I have sugar daddy ren for that,"

"My dance studio is not a million dollar business," Her husband mumbled behind her, still composing himself from her sit down.

"But don't worry, it's fine it wasn't that much since the owner knew my loyalty was to this cafe," She chimed, clapping her hands enthusiastically.

"How?" Jisung questioned, unsure how'd the owner know her when he barely worked at the front.

"From all the times he had to kick me out," Hwa Young stated proudly, free of any shame she felt years ago, which was now replaced with pride.

"Well isn't that," Jaemin hesitated, taking a long and noisy sip of his coffee. "Sentimental,"

"Rightt?" She laughed happily, squealing to herself as she showed off the document. The Na scoffed at her giddy nature, rolling his eyes sarcastically. Hwa Young saw this, her laughter now turning mischievous. "You know you're in MY cafe now right? Anyone who does me wrong has to pay the extra price~" She sang deviously, standing from her seat on Renjun's lap to then skip towards the back room area where employees were only allowed.

As she shut the door, ignoring the confused workers that stood frozen watching her, the boys all turned towards each other. "She's scary,"

"And cocky,"

"She's my wife,"

After one of his private lessons, Renjun hung up his jacket on one of the coat racks, entering the silent apartment. He chucked off his shoes and threw down his bag— his left hand instinctively reaching to his back pocket.

Pulling out a pack of cigarettes and his purple lighter, he began to walk across the living room. "Guess everyone's out doing something," He muttered, stalking towards the door to the terrace. He flicked the paper lid of the box, picking out a stick amongst the rest then raising it to where he held it between his teeth.

Just before he could reach the tiny steps leaving up to his favorite place in the apartment, a voice entered his ears.

"I didn't take you as a marlboro type of guy," Jaemin revealed his presence, stepping out from behind the little hallway that lead towards his room.

Renjun jumped back, his cigarette nearly falling from his lips. Turning on his heels, he snatched the stick and held it between his pointer and middle as he raised his hands in defense— as if caught by the police— which it felt similar to. "Um, where are the others?" He tried averting the subject, which seemed to work in that moment.

"Jeno is with Mark, Mari and Hyuck, and Hwa Young is at the local gay bar down the street with Ten and Johnny- celebrating with mock tails, now mr.huang why might i have gotten the pleasure in catching you in this act once again?" Jaemin interrogated, shoving a forceful finger in the boy's chest.

Renjun coughed awkwardly, lowering his arms. He seemed to not have an answer, and found the floor quite interesting at the moment as he didn't dare look away from it.

"Come on, Jun. I thought this addiction died senior year of high school? And you're about to be a step dad soon? Don't you wanna sober up?" Jaemin ranted continuously, smacking the boy with a rolled up magazine.

"I don't know,"
