the one where they don't know which nameunedited.
"Okay so, baby names?" Sat in Central Cafe, the apartment 117 roommates— excluding Hwa Young who rushed around her newly bought business, tending to customers— and Mark and Donghyuck, sat at the middle, sprawled out on the large red couch and its surrounding love seats.
"We haven't really thought of much," Renjun admitted, flipping through one of the books Jaemin had bought from their local book store. It contained numerous baby names, but none seemed to stick out.
. . .
Renjun looked to the camera, confused as to why he was in the middle of this.
"I honestly don't understand why I have a say in picking the name since I'm not the person carrying him nor the person who helped procreate the baby, but Hwa said something about how I deserved it, and how I'm practically the father now, but it still feels a bit awkward, y'know,"
. . .
"What about Yejun?" Jeno asked, glancing up from his book copy to Renjun. The male could only furrow his brows together in thought, until he shook his head in rejection.
"No, I don't think it's right that part of my name is in it, it should at least have Hwa or Young if we're going in that direction,"
"Soohwa, Hwawon, Sunghwa, Jinhwa—" Donghyuck listed, counting it off of his fingers.
"Very helpful Hyuck," Renjun deadpanned, rolling his eyes. "Hwa Young," The male raised his hand, calling her over— the woman rushing towards their area with a new batch of pastries and a freshly made cup of coffee for her husband.
"Yes?" She took the book from his hands swiftly, shoving the mug in its place and placing the plate of baked goods atop the coffee table.
"Why don't you sit down and think about names? Me and the boys can run around the cafe," He took her hands in his and pulled her to sit beside him on the couch. Reluctantly she did and allowed him to take off her uniform apron as well.
"Are you guys sure?" Hwa Young didn't know what to expect when trying to imagine the boys running the cafe, but she knew they weren't the best "customer service" type of people.
"Yeah, how hard can it be? Brew coffee, toast some bagels, take orders, it's a piece of cake," Donghyuck boasted, nudging her shoulder with his.
Jaemin on the other hand, who knew the works of a kitchen and restaurant, wasn't as hopeful as the tanned. "It's gonna be a shit show,"
Jeno quickly slapped the male behind his head, worried that the male would cause unnecessary stress on the pregnant woman. "Shut up, Jaemin," He hissed. "We're gonna do fine,"
"Yeah, just go up to the apartment," Renjun began to pack the numerous books into her tote bag that he held for her, "rest on the couch and find some names you like,"
Hesitantly, she pushed the straps of the bag onto her shoulder and stood. "Are you guys sure?"
"Yes, go on." Mark shooed her off, pushing her gently towards the door, which she slowly walked out of.
Mid-way into walking outside, she glanced beyond her shoulder, "Call me if you need help or if anything happens," With her last statement she left to her shared apartment.
"We're not gonna call her under any circumstance,"
. . .
"This is stupid, can't you guys leave?" Donghyuck grumbled, wiping the counters of the cafe's breakfast bar. The customers who sat in front of him took offense and stood up, leaving quickly.
Renjun who overheard the exchange punched the male on his shoulder. "The fuck?"
"What? Less work?"
. . .
Jaemin ruffled his hair, letting out a long
sigh of exhaustion. "I don't know how Hwa does this, but we've fucked this cafe over. I've got flour on my face, syrup stains on my shirt and coffee spilt on me where the sun doesn't shine. I didn't think people were that thirsty,". . .
