Warriors: A New Beginning

Chapter 1

After Sun and Moon arrived at the camp, Whitefeather and Stormblaze welcomed them.

"Sun, Moon, welcome to your new home!" Whitefeather mewed happily.

"Yes," Stormblaze agreed. "This is ThunderClan."

Whitefeather nodded, then said, "Come on! I'll show you to Graystar's den! I'm sure she'll be happy to meet you!" Then without warning, she ran off.

"Don't mind Whitefeather. She likes to run around and loves it whenever there are new cats in the Clan." Stormblaze explained. "Now come along, I'll show you to our leader's den."

"Okay!" Moon bounced up and down happily, but Sun couldn't help but glare at her sister.

"What?" Moon asked, clearly not knowing how her sister felt.

Did she already forget about our mother? Sun pushed away the thought.

"Nothing." She replied.

"Well come on! Stormblaze is already running away!" Moon laughed. "We have to catch up to him!"

Sun nodded, then followed her sister. They were standing in front of the biggest den Sun and Moon had ever seen.

"Wow!" Sun mewed, stunned.

"Can we go in?!" Moon asked.

"Of course. Graystar is waiting for you inside."

And with that, both sisters ran in. "Ugh! It's dark in here!" Moon exclaimed after she fell.

"Only darker than your pelt!" Sun muttered amusingly.

"Hey, I guess that is kinda true!" Moon realized as she looked at her black pelt.

"Oh! There they are!" Sun recognised Whitefeather's voice coming from ahead.

"Hello there, kits!" The den suddenly lit up as Sun saw a light gray she-cat sitting beside Whitefeather.

"Hi, I'm Sun!" She greeted. "This is my sister, Moon." Moon nodded.

"I am Graystar, the leader of ThunderClan." Graystar meowed. "I'm glad to meet you." She purred.

Moon's eyes brightened. "We are too!"

"Well, well, well. Tell me something, Sun and Moon." Graystar began.

They both nodded. "Yes?" Sun asked.

"How old are you?"

"We don't know exactly, but I think about six moons." Moon said.

"Hmm, I think you are ready to become apprentices."  

"Really!?" Sun exclaimed.

Graystar nodded. "I will call the Clan for a meeting. Sun, Moon, follow me please. Stormblaze, Whitefeather, you two can gather below the highrock like all of your Clanmates." Sun and Moon obeyed, and Graystar led them to the highest rock Sun had ever seen.

Wow! We're going to be apprentices! Sun thought happily. Is Mommy watching us somewhere? She wondered as she looked up to the sky.

Phew! Well, there's chapter 1. I hope you like it so far. Next chapter will be about Sun and Moon's apprenticeship. Who will their mentors be? And, are there any evil cats in the Clan that Graystar doesn't know of? Stay tuned, cuz chapter 2 is coming soon! ^_^
