"Y/n! You can't sleep all day, I'm making us food!," your brother says knocking on your door.
You tumble around in bed groaning as the sunlight hits your face. Your brother opens up your room and throws a pillow that was on the floor towards your head. You bring your arm up to stop it but failed.
"Just five more minutes," you grumble while pulling a pillow over your head.
"C'mon I didn't request the day off for you to spend it in bed," your brother says while lifting the pillow off of your head and smiling at you softly.
"Uchiiii," you groan while rubbing your eyes and looking at him.
It had been around 8 years when you last saw your brother. Sure you video chatted with him and everything but it was weird being with him in person. He was the striking image of your dad, with the kind eyes of your mother. Suddenly a frown spreads across your face and you break eye contact with him.
Your brother notices this and brushes the hair out of your face. "Hey, it's ok I'll give you some time to freshen up, Toshinori is joining us in a bit so you better get ready, you stink," he says playfully trying to lighten up the mood.
You smile up at him at nod. He leaves the room for you to get ready. It had also been many years since you saw Toshinori, probably a decade about now, not counting seeing him all over the media.
Toshinori, aka All Might, was like your uncle. He was a close friend of your father's when they were younger, so you saw him as another father figure. Your parents decided to move to America since your father got the opportunity to work for the FBI. And since your mother was a fashion designer, it wasn't hard for her to make the decision to move with your father and you. But after a few years your slice of heaven with your parents came to an end.
You stared at the boxes of your things scattered across the bedroom floor. You knew you needed to get it done today but groaned at the thought. You opened up one of the boxes and picked an outfit out. Your brother had already set everything you could need in the bathroom, so you headed off to get ready.
As you were done and headed downstairs you could hear chatter coming from the kitchen. You turn the corner and see your brother with Toshinori.
"Y/n!" Toshinori calls out to you with his famous big grin splattered in his face.
Your heart fills with joy seeing another familiar face and you run to him giving him the biggest hug you could give without breaking his bones. He hugs you back and releases you to put a hand on your head.
"I've missed you kid," he says while ruffling your short dark hair. You beam up at him, your smile turning to a smirk, "Of course you have, who wouldn't."
He rolls his eyes and let's out a chuckle. "But I've missed you too old man," you say as you give him a playful punch on the arm.
"Alright you kids the food's ready" your brother says as you turn to look at the food, mouth watering
"Thank you Tsukauchi," Toshinori says as he sits down while eyeing the meal in front of him.
The three of you enjoy your food with the occasional chatter until Toshinori bring up some big news, "So as you know I'm a teacher at UA," you nod your head while chewing your food.
"And I was looking at schools to get you enrolled in," your brother says. You nod and take your cup to smooth down the food going down. "Soooo... you're now enrolled at UA!" Toshinori says which makes you choke on your drink.
"You what now? I? WHAT?" you exclaim as you're trying to place the pieces together.
"You're gonna be starting this Monday, I know it's in the middle of the semester but I didn't want you to fall behind," Tsukauchi says with a kind expression.
"And your class is full of good kids, and I'll be one of your teachers so you can always come to me. But that doesn't mean I'm gonna go easy on you" Toshinori says while softly elbowing you.
You roll your eyes, "I appreciate the thought but now I have another thing to worry about." You start playing with your food lost in thought.
"I know us losing our parents has affected you, it has me too but you're not alone. I thought continuing school would have your mind occupied so you won't have to worry. And I'll be at work for long periods of time so I didn't want you to stay home alone."
You could tell he was trying to help, he was your older brother so you couldn't get mad. But you were still not over what happened, you were grieving. It's been a fresh two weeks so you haven't been the most stable.
"Alright, but do I have to wear a skirt," you huff as you cross your arms
The two men laugh but nod their heads.
This was going to be an interesting journey
