You woke up to hearing your alarm blaring off again. Except you couldn't reach it to turn it off, you were wrapped around a pair of arms. You turn around to see who it was. At the sight of Shinso, you started freaking out and ended up falling off the bed while you were trying to get out of his embrace.
This seemed to wake up Shinso, who sat up while running his fingers through his hair. It took you a second to realize that he was shirtless, you couldn't help but stare at every inch of his muscles. He turned with his sleepy eyes and gave you a small grin, "Good morning kitten."
You were burning red as he caught you staring. You threw his shirt at his face and ran to the bathroom. "We need to get ready, see you in class!" you yelled out from the bathroom.
You heard the door shut from the bathroom. You slid to the floor while trying to figure out what was happening. You felt your stomach doing cartwheels. You couldn't understand why you were a blushing mess. I mean, you could get used to seeing him like that more often. You slapped the sides of your face trying to stop your mind from wondering. He was your best friend, nothing more... right?
You soon found yourself inside the classroom, fully avoided Shinso and basically everyone, but mostly Shinso.
"Hey, Y/N, are you ok?" Tsu says while walking up to your desk. "Yea I'm just a bit tired," You gave her a weak smile.
From the corner of your eye you saw Shinso smirking at you. This kid was going to be the end of you.
~~time skip~~
Everyone was back at the dorms relaxing in the common room. You were all joking and trying to make plans for the weekend as a group. Soon the fun was interrupted.
"Y/N? I need to speak to you for a second," Midnight says while walking into view. You were confused but followed her outside.
"Honey, I don't know how to say it," She took a deep breath. "Your brother's in the hospital, he was attacked by a villain while on the field, he's a critical condition."
Soon your world came crashing down once again.
"He's- what?" You managed to spit out while tears started forming in your eyes. "I can take you to him now if you'd like," she softly said. You nodded while wiping your tears away
"Oh honey," She pulled you into her arms. "He's gonna be ok, let's go, the sooner you see him the better."
You guys drove to the hospital. You felt the lump in your throat getting bigger and bigger, you clutched your hands onto your pants as you arrived at the hospital. You couldn't even wait for her to properly park before running off to the entrance.
"Where's my brother? He's the officer that got attacked." You said in a trembling voice.
"He's in room 156 hun, make sure not to be too loud, he's still pretty fragile." The nurse says while motioning over to the room.
You walk in and are overwhelmed by the sight in front of you. Your brother was hooked up to various machines, he's covered in bandages, even one of his eyes which you would see bruising all around it. Your eyes started to fill with tears, however you knew you weren't alone as you saw a man in a yellow suit, Toshinori.
You walked slowly to him, making sure to not disturb your brother. "What happened?" You said while digging your nails into your palms. Toshinori noticed your demeanor and reached out a hand to grab yours.
"He was attacked by the League of Villians. He was banged up pretty good, a few deep cuts and 3rd degree burns. He's a strong man though, he's gonna pull through. You have nothing to worry about, Recovery Girl is coming over soon to help speed up the process," he said as he softly placed a hand over yours.
You wrapped your arms around him and silently sob. You couldn't bear the thought of losing more family to villains. You snapped out of your thoughts as he patted your back. "He's awake," he whispered to you.
You turned to your brother who had his eye slightly open. "Hey Booger," he said softly while giving you a weak smile.
After rushing to his side, you give him a smile back. "Hey Uchi, you had me worried."
"I'm sorry Y/N, I should of been more careful," he managed to say while he placed a hand to your cheek. You cradled your face against his touch.
Your moment was cut short by Recovery Girl walking in. You put your hand against his, "I promise to come visit you every day until you're out."
"It would be about a week for him to get back to normal, unless he's like this one who doesn't listen to me," Recover Girl says while kicking Small Might with her cane.
"Don't be distracted by me, please remember to stay focused in school, I'll be here waiting for you." He says as Recover Girl approaches.
You said your goodbyes and walked out of the room
Toshinori offered you a ride back to the dorms. And you took up his offer. The ride was silent but comforting.
Once you got there you avoided everyone and went straight to your room. Little did you know Toshinori stayed behind and let your friends know what was going on.
This was going to be a tough week.
