A mission

I woke up feeling Peter playing with my hair, letting out a soft hum my head that was resting on his chest snuggled in higher. Peter let out a soft chuckle before kissing the top of my head. He's never done that before.

My bare body pressed into Peters more as I wove a leg between his.

"Mmm morning." breathing this out Peter squeezed my waist with the arm looped around me. He was sitting up and when opening an eye he smiled. "Normally I'm the one to wake up first." Peter shrugged his shoulders.

"Well unlike everyone else you couldn't hear Charles calling everyone downstairs for a meeting." Humming again my eyes shut once more and he chuckled. "He also told everyone if they see you to drag you with them." Wrapping an arm tighter around him not wanting to move from the warm sheets Peter's lips brushed along my cheek.

"Well then are you going to drag me out of your bed?" Peter bit his lip as I moved in closer kissing him deeply. Peter groaned both hands now wrapped around me but there was a knock on the door.

"Hey, Peter why are you always the last one to the meetings?" Scott banged on the door and Peter sighed letting go of my lips.

"Killjoy." He whispered only to kiss me again and roll us over in the bed. When hearing the door slam open I let out a soft gasp as I was now in the closet of the room.

"What are you doing man? Everyone's waiting for you."

"Yeah yeah sorry. I was sleeping, went to bed late last night." peaking through the folds of the closest Peter glanced over before walking over to the door.

"Have you seen (y/n)? No one can find her."

"Nope, haven't seen her since last nights dinner." the door shut behind them and I let out a long sigh. This sneaking around will be the end of me. Walking out to the door, I stopped and looked to the window. If they've been looking for me then chances are they've checked my room. Hopping down from the window. Second floor but it's not like I haven't jumped from that height before. Using sound waves to lighten the fall I walked around to the back of the house. When opening the back door everyone stopped.

"Well everyone seems chipper."

"Where have you been?" Hank asked and I shrugged.

"What's it matter."

"They came back last night looking for you. Charles had to get them all to leave now where we're you?" Raven got too close for my liking. She's frustrated, very frustrated. Something must have happened.

"I went to find their hideout. Jeez." She stopped and looked back at Charles.

"Did you find it?" Sighing getting out my phone and double-tapping the screen a hologram popped up.

"Wow." a few kids said before teachers started ushering them to classrooms.

"Yep, along the north harbour of New York. Although I think they have a sister base in a less populated area. I tagged a truck to see where it went and it stopped just now." the screen showed an empty forest area, that's when the tracker stopped. "They must have a strong electric field." Tapping the screen to keep the location I looked to Charles.

"You're going after them aren't you."

"Well, they've knocked on your door. I'll just go knock on there's." Spinning around to the elevator Hank and Raven court me when I tried going down. They held both sides of the elevator doors.

"You can't go to a highly classified military base on your own," Raven said and I crossed my arms.

"Well is anyone volunteering because I'm not waiting around for some dumb old man to question me." Hank opened and shut his mouth turning to Raven.

"I'll go." Peter zipped next to me hands in pockets. "I've been cooped up for too long. Need some action."

"Jene you go with them." Charles suddenly spoke up making Raven almost gasp.

"You're agreeing with her?"

"Either we let them go now or she'll sneak out like last night. Hank, you go with them and fly the jet. If anything goes wrong contact me immediately." So the four of us in the elevator went down and Hank spent a few minutes on getting the jet ready. I was putting together some protection as it were. I've heard from hank there is machinery designed to halt the mutant gene. Of course, I'm not 100% sure that applies to me but one can't be too careful.

"I live that you're being a badass and all but when did you sneak out last night? Weren't we you know." Glancing up from the table Peter stared at me waiting for an answer.

"I left yesterday lunch while you were out nothing to worry about." attaching two metal bracelets to either wrist I heard the jet begin to turn on. He was checking the engines.

"If you want to get changed do it now," Hank said and Gene went off to a separate room as did Hank. Peter zipped back and forward now changed.

"Are you going to change?" Shaking my head I tapped the sides of the wrist bands checking they were connected.

"Nope. Best not look like I'm bringing a fight. At least until I know what they want." Peter rubbed the back of his neck following me into the jet.

"If all this goes sideways. Of course, I'm not saying it will I mean you always know what you're going and you're the smartest girl I know." I turned raising an eyebrow at him indicating to Peter that he was talking most so fast I couldn't understand. "What I'm trying to say is that I like you. Like really like you. The sex is great, amazing but I want to be with you for more than just that." Leaning forward I kissed him, his arms went to my waist as our lips moulded together.

"The feelings mutual silver." I heard footsteps coming up to the ship.

"Finally," Gene said slumping down in her seat just as Hank came around shutting the doors behind him.

"Alright is everyone ready? (y/n) can you co-pilot?"

"Yes and yes cap. Lead the charge."
