Tom

I got out of the hospital today. Jake turns to me and starts kissing me in the hallway. Publicly! And I just stood there in shock. Didn't he remember that we could get arrested because of this? Jake saw my face and smiled.

"They know about this, everyone knows and they're okay with it. As long as we don't do it often in public."

"Oh, uh, then, a kiss?" he chuckled and we kissed in the middle of the hallway, nurses and doctors smiling. Some Karens walking by disgusted and covering their child's eyes. But we? We didn't cared. I could finally express myself with the love of m life. We walked at my house. I turn to Jake

"Hey, uh, do you know where my parents are?" He looked down, having a sad face. I didn't liked where this was going with this.

"Tom.." he paused. "Your parents died when you were in a coma.."

"No!" he looked at me sad. Please tell me this is a joke.

"Tom, i'm sorry." I looked away. "Tom, look at me." he turned me head to him. Tears filling up in my eyes.

"Do they at least know how they died?" Jake nodded.

"Covid-19" oh great, killed by a virus like every other person. Just perfect.

"Is there at least gonna be a funeral?" he shaked his head. I sighed. I don't know what my brothers must feel cause they still lived with our parents. They must be devastated.

"Tom, i-" he fumbled and was playing with his hands. He reached in his Jean pocket and showed a tiny box. Oh shit-

"Tom, I always loved you.." he said, shyly, standing on 1 knee "And I want to spend the rest of my life with you." he opened the box and there was a ring. So shiny.

"Tom, will you marry me?" I started tearing up and hugged him tightly. I buried my head in his hair.

"Yes, yes I do!"

I stood there, in front of my fiance. I smiled knowing I'll spend my whole life with him. He smiles as we turn to the priest.

"You, Jake, will you take Thomas Stanley Holland as your lawful husband in good and bad?"

"Yes, I do."

"You, Tom, will you take Jacob Benjamin Gyllenhaal was your lawful husband in good and bad?"  ( don't attack me, I searched it and that's his actual name )

"Yes, I do."

"Then you may kiss the groom." I looked at Jake as we kissed and everyone started clapping. We had our rings on and we were kissing. Like we never kissed before. His tongue met mine and we stood there kissing. When we stopped we looked at the people who were sitting there. Many were crying. I then knew, that this was my life and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

We walked down and we decided to not do the toasts but just talk with people.

"Jake, Tom, I need you to meet my cousin Eliza, her husband Cedric and her sister Jenna." I stood there frozen in place. This must be a dream. They were there. All 3. The people I thought were real were actually real. Jenna from the reception, Cedric the doctor and the director and Eliza the co-director.

"Hey, uh, what do yall do for work?" Jenna turned around from the kids playing with her dress. Her hair was beautifully put together.

"I work at the local hospital as a receptioniste." I turn my gaze to Cedric.

"I work at a hospital in another city."

"Me too." this doesn't make sense. If those were hallucinations, how come that these 3 people who are real, that they were in my dreams. This doesn't make sense.

"What about your love life." Cedric eyes me suspiciously up and down.

"Well, I wanted to marry a man but he died. Then I started dating Eliza. Why."

"Oh, no reason. Well, me and Jake have to go." I grab Jake by his arm and drag him with me.

"What's the problem?" I turn to him determined .

"Jake, remember when I said I met people in my hallucinations?" I pause as he nods. "Those people there with Zendaga had the exact same name and workplace as in my hallucinations!" he sighs very loudly.

"Tom, you're overreacting. It's a coincidence, nothing more." I want to believe it as we walk back to the guests. I'm not gonna let that ruin my day.
