Two weeks later
Katie was working on homework one morning. She had mainly kept to herself doing her school work. There was a knock on the door she went to the door. Standing on her porch was 2nd Lt Baker's wife Arielle Baker and 1st Lt Willows wife Madison who was a beautiful red head whose eyes always just seem to catch your attention.
"You're not dressed." Arielle said
"Um..it's only 1030AM." Katie said
"I know. But there is wives tea party in an hour. Didn't your sister in law tell you?" Madison said
"Well she did..I just um." She said
"Come on sweetie. We will help you." Arielle said as Cheyenne and her sister in law came up the side walk.
All four ladies were suddenly in her closet. They helped her into a dress and heels.
"Perfect now come on." Arielle said
At the ladies tea Katie kept to herself as the wives who were also mothers of kids or teenagers. All Katie wanted was for the floor to swallow her up. She was relieved when it was over and she could go back home.
As she was eating some fettuccine Alfredo Bucky called in.
"Hey gorgeous.." he said
"Hey." She said as she twirled her noodles.
"Baby what's wrong?" He said
She sighed "I don't think I'm gonna fit in here." She said
"What happened?" He said
She wiped tears as she said "I was bombarded by a tea party with all the wives. I felt so totally out of place. They are all mothers of older kids or adult kids. I literally just wanted to run."
"I know you are younger than the others baby. They are trying to include you cause you are my wife." He said
She shook her head yes.
"I love you Katie bug. But please don't cry I hate when you cry." He said
"I love you too." She said
They began to talk about something else he told her about his day. The next day Cheyenne and her sister in law helped Katie start on the nursery. She painted the room a yellow color since she was only 12 and half weeks.
She also started her baby registry when they were done with the room. She sent pictures to Bucky's email.
