"So you're Chibs' daughter, huh?", some old guy asked. My dad set me up to tend the bar at the club house. He thought it would be best if I stayed close to him. Now I get to meet the rest of the "family"."Yeah, I am", I replied. I noticed his President patch. "Nice to meet you", I said. "You too. I'm Clay Morrow" I nodded and he went into the next room. Dad came in, sat down at the bar and asked for a beer. "So, did you go to college", he asked. I told him that I was about to get a bachelors degree in IT, but when mom got sick, the fall of my last year, I decided to stay home. He got a proud look on his face. Opie came in and asked me if I've seen Happy. I stood there as a question mark. "I don't know who that is", i said. "He's the guy who doesn't look happy at all", he laughed. I told him I would go look for him.

I went in the garage, to look for this Happy guy. "You Happy?" I asked a big guy with long hair. "No, I'm Bobby. You must be Cassie, right?". I nodded. He pointed to a bald guy. I walked over, but stopped when I heard a car wrooming up the lot. Gun shots were fired. I got behind a car. "Who are these guys", I yelled. "I don't know! Get Down", Bobby yelled back and startet firing back at the thugs. I pulled my gun out my boot and fired as well. The rest of the gang came out and started shooting. One of the guys who were shooting at us, tried to run for it, after Jax and Opie took out the other two guys. I fired one shot at his leg and he went down. The gun fire stopped. I tucked away my gun and ran to my dad. "Nice shot", Jax uttered. Happy and Bobby ran to get the guy I shot. Blood spurted out the guys leg. Dad embraced me and asked if I was okay. "Mayans", Happy exclaimed. "Shit, we gotta get rid of these guys before the cops get here", The president commanded.

Jax grabbed my arm and dragged me into the club house. "What the hell, Jax", I blurted out. "Let's just let Happy and Tig take care of that shit. You don't need to see that", he said. I accepted that and got a beer. "You want one?", I asked. He shook his head and sat down. "Why are you carrying a gun? And where did you learn to shoot like that?", he wanted to know. "I dated this guy, mixed up in some bad shit and I had to learn how to take care of myself", I explained. "Don't tell dad, though. If he asks, I took a course". He nodded and apologized about the whole situation. "It's not exactly what I expected when I got here, but I guess shit happens". He looked relieved when I told him it's cool.

I was a little shaken after the whole shooting episode, so Jax offered to drive me home. I got the back of his bike and we drove out of the lot. I wrapped my arms around him as we accelerated. I felt safe and it was nice to have that feeling.

When we got inside of the house my legs felt like they had turned to jello and they gave in underneath me. Jax caught me before I hit the floor. "You okay?", he asked. I told him I was fine, but my legs were still like jello. He picked me up and I put my arm around his shoulders as he walked me over to my room. I layed down on the bed. He put a blanked over me and told me to get a good nights sleep. He said good night and walked out. "They probably killed that guy", I thought. "He could have been alive if I didn't shoot him." I agreed with myself that they started it. They shouldn't have fired at me. "That's what you get when you try to kill people".

I woke up the next morning at 10 am. I went to the bathroom and took a look in the mirror. The bun I put in yesterday wasn't as glamorous as it was. I had dark circles underneath my eyes and my lips were the same color as my skin. Those last few days had been so busy,  I hadn't had the time to groom. I laughed and shook my head before I hopped in the shower.

I opened the bathroom door. "Jax? Are you home?", I shouted. I didn't get a response so I skipped out in my underwear over to my bedroom and shut the door. I heard steps in the hallway and thanked god I got to the bedroom in time. But what I didn't expect was that he'd walk right in as I stood there in nothing but my underwear. He looked at me, startled. And he didn't move. "Dude.. Are you just gonna- are you just gonna stand there?" He came back to earth, smiled. "Sorry, I didn't think you- I came to check in.. You called?"  "Yeah, I was checking if you were home so I could avoid this situation, right here", I replied. He laughed and left the room.

I entered the living room, he was watching TV. He glanced at me. "What?"."Nothing", he said. I made my self a cup of coffee and joined him. He was doing his little smirk. "What, are you twelve? It's not like you've haven't seen anything like that before".
"Yeah, you're right. It's just- you get this look on your face. Now I know how you felt when you met Gemma. It's the "shit-this-is-a-situation-I-really-dislike"-look"I chuckled and threw a couch pillow at him.

Gemma came in. "God, you look like a mess". "Thanks", I said with irony. "There's that look", Jax said. I ignored him. "She shouldn't hang around TM", she told Jax, like I wasn't even there. "She'll get all.. fucked up", she continued.
"Actually, she handled her self better than most", Jax explained, and didn't exclude me like Gemma did.
She was resistant, but nodded and left. She stopped at the front door: "Clay wants you down at TM".

"I gotta go.. Just relax here, and I'll be back soon", he said as he picked up his vest. "See you later"...
