"Come on, its this way" North screamed as he pulled on Florida's arm. He had just woken up Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina at 4 in the morning telling them he had something really cool to show them. He brought them to a barn close to the mansion they lived in. "This better be good" A still half asleep Florida said. "It is, now behold" North said as he opened the barn door revealing a strange machine. It looked like it had 2 seats, with a tail, A piece of metal in what was presumably was the front, and two pieces of wood and string sticking out of the sides. "The plane" North finished. "What...is it?" Georgia said, as he walked up to it. "sit down in the front seat and I'll show ya" North enthusiastically said. Georgia shrugged and hopped in the strange device. "y'all might wanna stand back" North said as he entered the back.
Florida and South moved away from the barn door and to the side of it. "5 dollars says that's gonna explode." Florida said to south. "just because you think that that's gonna happen, I'll take that bet." She replied. Their talk was cut short as North's device came out of the barn and started to fly with him and a terrified Georgia in it. "So what do you think" North said to Georgia. If he heard him he didn't answer, as he was completely frozen in fear.

Utah had been trying to sleep when a strange noise started outside. He tried to ignore it, but it just wouldn't go away. He woke up Idaho, and went outside to see what the noise was. When he got out there, he saw a giant demon in the sky. "Its the end of days!" He shrieked. Idaho ran off to be with his potatoes in his final moments as Utah started to wake up the other states.
Once he gathered up enough states to form a mob, he armed them with pitchforks and torches and headed outside as it landed. "The demon, it rests!", he said as he lead his mob toward the barn it flew into.

The plane landed safely in the barn where a shocked South and Florida stood. "You made a flying machine!?" South said. "How long did that take you?" North grinned "Exactly 1883838 hours, 32 minutes and 16 seconds." "Well Florida, I guess you owe me 5 dollars." South said holding out her hand. Florida muttered as he pulled out a five dollar bill and handed it to south. "Hey Georgia, you good?" North said to the now frozen peach state. No response was given. North hopped on the plane and waved his hand in front of his brothers face. "That...that....was....awesome." Georgia said jumping off the plane.
The celebration was cut short as Florida said, "guys, does anyone else smell burning?" Soon the barn had a small fire spread in threw its western wall. North looked at the fuel to the plane, which he'd put in a corner near where the fire now was "Guys we need to get the hell out of here" he said as he made a run for the exit. The others soon followed as the fuel caught fire and caused a explosion, just barely missing North. "My plane!" North yelled. "My precious, precious plane!." North's crying was cut short by a few states led by Utah emerging from behind the barn. "Georgia, did you see where the demon went?" He asked the state.
North looked up at him, "You, you killed him." He said as he stood up. "North what are you-" Utah couldn't finish before North was on top of him. "You killed him" North repeated as he was dragged off by Michigan and Georgia. "Let me get this murdering Yankee!" North said as he tried to desperately break away from his siblings. As South watched, Florida came up behind her, "So South, looks like North's plane is gone, and your" he pointed at her to emphasize, "down five bucks."

Sorry that this one was so short, I just started to write this and I wanted to keep going. I usually try to stick to a certain word limit for the mains but I'm less strict with the side stories. I'm not sure what else to put here. Oh the -before the 2.5 means it takes place in the past.
