To my readers of 'Long Time No See': I won't be online much over the Easter holidays, so the next chapter will be posted on Monday or possibly Tuesday.

In the meantime, here's another little story that I initially posted on my second account, for St Patrick's Day ☘️! 'Céad míle fáilte' is Irish and means 'a hundred thousand welcomes'.

I usually headcanon Ed and Edna as Scottish, but I think Irish fits them as well. Eithe is the Irish spelling of Edna (it's pronounced the same way), and Éamon(n) is the Irish form of Edward or Edmund.

This AU is set in an Irish pub, so there is obviously some alcohol consumed. Everyone's 18+ 😉.

Céad Míle Fáilte

"Are you sure you got the address right?" I question as we follow my older brother through an unfamiliar part of Ninjago City, the streets getting smaller and narrower as we keep walking on.

"Absolutely." Kai nods, but then adds in a lower (and slightly less cocky) voice. "You don't think that Skylor would have given me a fake address, would you?"

Wow, he must have it really bad. I've never seen my big brother actually being, even the tiniest bit, insecure about a girl.

"I don't think Nya was implying that she purposely misled you." Lloyd chimes in. He adds with a smirk. "Maybe you were simply listening with a different part of your anatomy than your ears."

"I did get the right details." Kai decides to ignore our younger brother's cheeky remark. "And we should be almost there. C'mon." He turns to give us a pleading look. "I promise, if this is not the right place or you don't like it, we can still head over to Laughy's and meet up with the others." He suggests, referring to our usual watering hole.

To be honest, I don't mind a change of scenery. Laughy's is not the greatest bar in Ninjago City - not by far; we usually go there only because it offers a students' discount even on a Friday night, and because a lot of our friends go there as well.

But tonight, my big brother has 'convinced' Lloyd and me to try out a different place, a small Irish Pub recommended to him by his latest crush.

And I kinda feel responsible – after all, I was the reason he's met Skylor in the first place.

Kai, a popular fourth year law student, sometimes picks me up from my late lab courses. And yesterday, while he was waiting for me in front of the institute, he got chatting to one of the older students – who apparently works at the pub on the weekends and casually invited him to 'drop by' tonight. Not sure why he decided to drag Lloyd and me along as well though. But-

"Here we are." Kai's voice snaps me out of my thoughts. He points at a simple small sign 'Éamonn & Eithne's' above a fairly regular looking wooden door. "Told ya." He grins, back to his old (over)confident self, as he pushes the heavy door open, and we step inside.

I gasp as I take in my surroundings. It may have looked almost like a regular house from the outside, but on the inside it's definitely a pub - and a very charming one I have to admit.

Everything is kept in very traditional colours and decors – the low ceiling as well as the bottom half of the limestone wall are covered with wood panelling, while metal signs, pictures and notes plaster the upper part of the walls.

The same kind of dark wood has been used for the centrepiece of the room, the bar - obviously - and also for the round tables, chairs and bar stools that are scattered around the room. Only a few of them are occupied as of now – thanks to my impatient brother we've arrived very early on this Saturday night.
