For the next few weeks, I am going to mainly focus on Ninja vs Samurai. I'd really like to finish that book before the end of the year, and while three months may sound like a lot of time to get that done, it actually isn't - especially not with my plans for Halloween 🎃 and Christmas 🎄 Specials...

But I've promised someone (I think it was ninjagofangirl19, please correct me if I'm wrong!) to finalise the second part of this chapter from my deleted TNG book and post the whole thing here.

Just as a reminder, this storyline breaks away after Hands of Time, so Wu is gone and Harumi (yes, I am including her) will have an entirely different backstory (and fate).

Family Reunion

Six weeks later, Friday late afternoon

"Whoohoo." Nya cheered as the water-lightning hybrid dragon zoomed up into the sky and around the floating island; her black hair which she had grown out for the last few months was tied back into a ponytail swaying in the wind.

"Slow down, honey." Her husband pleaded. He was sitting behind his wife, one arm wrapped around the Water Ninja's waist, the other hand tightly holding onto the handle of the baby carrier. Safely strapped into it was their fast asleep eight-weeks-old daughter. "You don't want her to get sick, do you?"

"Oh, don't be such a party pooper." Nya chuckled. "She is our daughter and a future Master of Lightning, she is perfectly happy high up in the air. And I haven't done this in ages. First I was too sick to fly, then Abby's powers were acting up and I couldn't risk getting electrocuted by my own dragon, and now our new neighbours don't seem to like us using our elemental dragons..."

After two more rounds around the Temple of Airjitzu, Nya safely landed the dragon in the courtyard in front of the building, and the two Elemental Masters dispelled it.

"Not bad, Nya. You obviously haven't forgotten anything." Cole had seen them arrive and was waiting for them on the stairs leading up to the temple. He embraced his best friend's wife. "You're looking great."

"Thank you." Nya smiled. She had been hearing these words a lot recently; being a mother definitely suited her, despite the tiredness that was clearly visible on her beautiful face.

"And what about me?" Jay pouted.

"I get to see your ugly face often enough during training, there's nothing exciting about that." The black Ninja gave him a pat on the back. "And how's the little beauty?" He peeked into the baby carrier.

"Still asleep." The Water Ninja smiled fondly at her daughter. "But she has become a bit more active now since the last time you saw her, so you can hopefully get some 'practise' later."

"Sounds like a plan." The soon-to-be father-of-two agreed. "But I'd rather do that inside, and Sel is really excited to see the three of you."

"We still need to get our stuff from the car." Jay remarked. "We just wanted to get Abby up here first safely, well more or less." He added with a side glance at his wife.

"Ah, c'mon, you can do that later, let's say hi to everyone first." Cole suggested. "And you don't need the travel cot; we've already got the beds for our two little ones and we've put one of them as well as the changing table into your old room for Abby."

"Lemme guess, we still need to assemble them for you?" Jay assumed.

"What do you think these babies are for?" The black Ninja flexed his muscles.
