I thought you'd never ask

I walked into the training arena and put my stuff down. I had on a warriors basketball shirt on and some Adidas tights on, with my Nike trainers on. I put in my earbuds and started listening to music while running laps around the court while the boys were in the weight room on treadmills and stuff. After about 10 minutes the boys walked into the court and I jogged off. "Hey Vanessa." Andrew says. "I didn't know you were here! Why didn't you come say hi?" I look up at him. "Sorry I was focused on running." I say while giggling. Steph runs into the arena. "Sorry guys I'm late but I had to pick something up first." He says a little out of breath. Stephen walks over to me and pulls out a mini plastic basketball and gives it to me. I smile at him. "Open it" he says. I open it and there's a note in side. 'Will you be my girlfriend?' I look back up at him wide eyed. "I.. I.." He looked sadly looked down. "I'd love to be you're girlfriend!" I say smiling widely. Stephens head shot up and he had this big smile plastered on his face. Stephen picked me up and spun me around. "What's going on here?" Coach Kerr says walking into the court as Steph puts me down. "Well Steph just asked Vanessa to be his girlfriend and she said yes." David says. "Oh thank god I thought you'd never ask! Now Klay owes me 50 bucks!" coach Kerr says happily. "Klay! You didn't want me to get together with Vanessa?" Stephen says while pretending to be hurt. I chuckle. "No it wasn't that it was just that I thought you ask her next month. " He said in defeat. The team bursts out laughing. "Is my love life just one big bet to you guys?" Stephen says a little angrily. I wrap my arms around his neck and he looks at me. "Hey.. It's okay. They don't matter it's just me and you." I say and peck his lips. He smiles at me. "Ewww keep it P.G here guys!" Andre says childishly. I giggle.
*****(after practice)
Steph walks me to my car. "So I was wondering if you wanted to come over?" He asks. "okay, what time?" I ask. "Well when you get home so what you need to do and I'll be waiting." he says. i look at him with a evil smile. "I'll race you home?!" He looks at me and then runs to his car. I get in mine and speed off. Don't worry we don't get in a wreck becaues that would be awful.
When I get home I saw Stephens car wasn't there, but then he pulls up. "I win!!" I scream across the street. i blow him a kiss and walk into my house.
I take a shower and put on some Tights and a floral long sleeve shirt. I walk across the street and knock on the door. The door swings open and Stephen is just in a pair of shorts. Shit.... He smirks at me "like what you see?" He says. I put one hand on his cheek and whisper in his ear. "Definitely" I smirk and walk into the house. He walks up behind me. "So what do you wanna do?" He says. "welllllllll I was wondering" I say walking up to him. "If you would want to................. Watch movies?!" I say happily. "Okay well what movie do you wanna watch?" He asks. we walk over where he has his movies. I pick The lion king and put it behind my back. Then he picks a movie and he puts it behind his back. "Okay on three.....one....two........three." I say. He pulls out the cabin in the woods and I pull out the lion king. "Okay Rock Paper Scissors." He says.
He picked paper and I picked gun. "Gun? I don't think it works that way." Stephen says. "Well gun shoots holes through paper so I win!" I say. "Fine. Sit down I'll put it in.
We were half way through the movie when the doorbell rang. "I'll get it"i say. Stephen pauses the movie and I walk to the door. I opened it and it was one person I thought I would never see again.......
