Trouble

Lily's POV

"Onward, Shadow! We're going to find my sisters!" I triumphed. Of course, I don't know where they are. But my sister instincts haven't failed me yet.

After I had Shadow sniff one of Ruby's pillows, we were off. But journey took longer than I expected, and when we arrived, it was nothing like I expected.

"Are you sure Ruby's here, Shadow?" I asked. Shadow sniffed the air in response. This place was giving me the creeps. Why would Ruby and the others come here? What kind of mission is this?

"Come on, let's hurry up and find them. This place is starting to creep me out."

Shadow walked forward, continuing to follow Ruby's scent. After some time, Shadow started acting funny.

He was constantly stopping to shake his head. "What's the matter, buddy?" I asked while getting off his back. "Is this place creeping you out, too?"

I didn't expect him to answer since... Well, he's a Grimm. They don't talk.

I looked down when the ground beneath began to crack. "Huh?"

I cried out when the ground broke through and I fell. Well, almost if Shadow hadn't grabbed my shoulder with his jaws.

"Look! It's a Beowolf!" I heard someone yell.

"Don't just stand there, kill it!"

I heard shooting and Shadow was wincing from every hit. "No! Stop shooting!" I called up to them. But I wasn't sure if they heard me due to the gunfire.

Shadow was only able to endure so much pain until he let go of me, making me fall through the pit. As I fell, I heard Shadow snarling and the screams of men.

I screamed all the way down the pit until I landed on something hard. "Owie..." I moaned with pain. I stood up while rubbing my behind and looked towards the sky.

It was so dark, I couldn't see where I fell through. "What did I fall into? Actually, where did I fall into?"

I turned my head and saw some sort of town, but everything looked old, unfinished, or damaged. It was a whole new town down there. A town that's been buried for years.

"Freeze!" A door from seemingly nowhere opened, so I had to use my arm to block out the bright light that radiated from there.

"Where did she come from?" One of them asked. "You're a long way from home, little girl." The other man said.

I took a step back, almost falling off the ledge. What do I do? There's nowhere for me to run. "The boss is gonna wanna see this one." The first man said, then grabbed my arm.

"Let go!" I said, yanking my arm out of his hold. "Stubborn kid! Come on!" He grabbed the back of my neck and roughly guided me towards the door they came through.

They dragged me into some weird working mine or something, and I wasn't sure what they were doing.

"Hey, boss! We found something you might wanna see!" The man who had ahold of me called.

"Is it good or bad, Perry, because let me tell ya, I have had a day." The "boss" said from a train cart. "Uh... it's a little girl?" Perry answered, unsurely.

The "boss" poked his head out from the train cart with a cigar in his mouth. He looks familiar. Have I seen him somewhere before? Maybe on TV?

"That would be bad." He said, throwing his cigar somewhere.

Ruby's POV

"Grr...!" Zwei growled at something in the distance. "What is it, Zwei?" I asked. I looked to see what he was growling at, and it was a Beowolf.

Instinctively, I took out sniper rifle. When I was about to pull the trigger, I noticed the Beowolf wasn't growling back. It was surprisingly calm.

"That's weird. Grimm aren't usually so calm," I said aloud. I narrowed my eyes at the Beowolf and noticed a red collar around its neck.

I decided to be risky and approached the Grimm. I took a look at its collar and saw that it had 'Shadow' written on it.

"Shadow? Wait, Shadow?! Lily's Beowolf?! What are you doing here?! Where's Lily?"

The Beowolf ran off and I followed it. Shadow led me to a huge hole in the ground. "She fell through there?" I asked it.

Shadow began howling at the hole as if it were trying to call out to Lily. I took out my scroll and called Yang, telling her, Weiss, Blake, and Dr. Oobleck to come to my location.

They arrived within minutes. When they saw Shadow, they instantly got on guard. "Wait a second! It's Shadow! Lily's Beowolf!" I told them.

"What's it doing here?" Blake asked.

"I don't know, but I think Lily fell down there."

"Why on earth would your little sister being wandering the abandoned ruins of Mountain Glenn?! Huntresses, prepare yourselves! This is now a rescue mission to save your little sister! We must hurry or she'll be in grave danger! Quickly!" Dr. Oobleck said.

Lily's POV

Roman kicked me and I slid across the ground on my side. "You know, Perry, I really did need this." He laughed while walking over to me.

"But seriously, how'd ya find this place, Red?"

He crouched down and lifted my chin with his cane. "Red? Who's Red?" I asked. "Oh, hold the phone. Wait just a second here," I flinched when he took my hood off my head.

"You're not Red," He said. I don't know who he's talking about, but I need to get out of here. I kicked him hard in the stomach and made a run for it.

Sadly, I didn't get far as a hook attached itself to my hoodie and I was dragged back over to Roman. "I see you've got some tricks up your sleeve. Let me make this clear. We're not through here yet,"

I frowned at him, then looked ahead when I heard an explosion. "Perry, if you and the boys could take care of that? Kind of in the middle of something," Roman instructed.

He went to do as he was told, but there was another explosion. "What is going on here?!"

White Fang members shooting and running away from something. When I got a closer look, I saw that it was Ruby and the others with Shadow.

"Ruby! Shadow!" I cheered. "Of all the..." Roman growled, and roughly picked me up by my arm, picking me up off the ground. "Attach this car, and spread the word. We're starting the train."

"But we're not finished."

"Do it, or you're finished. We're taking the girl."

Roman grabbed the back of my neck and forced me into one of the train cars. He had a tight grip on my shoulder as the train began to move.

Ruby, Yang. Please hurry. I thought desperately.
