Ian's POV
"Lily? Lily!" I called. After finishing my report to Ozpin, I went back to the dorms to check on Lily. But when I got there, she wasn't there. Neither was Shadow.
There was a note on her bed, saying she went to Forever Fall Forest. My only assumption was that she was going there to pet Grimm.
She already has a Beowolf. Why does she need to see other Grimm? I honestly don't understand why she's so fascinated by those things.
"Kid, where are you?" I called loudly. This was starting to piss me off because I've been searching for her for over an hour now. "Lily! Where-!"
I turned around when a Nevermore landed behind me and screeched in my direction. I immediately equipped myself with my spear and turned it into an assault gun.
"Wait, Ian! Don't shoot!"
"Huh?"
That voice sounded all too familiar, and Lily's head came poking out from behind the Nevermore. She's... riding that thing?
"Hi, hi." She greeted with a grin. "Shrimp, is that you? What in the world are you doing?" I asked. "Oh, you know. Just doing some flying." Lily answered.
"With you, I don't think anything surprises me anymore." I admitted. Lily giggled and hopped off the Nevermore. "Wait, where's your Beowolf?"
"Standing right behind you." She said, pointing at me. I looked behind me as Shadow was making his way over. "So, what's up?"
"Nothing. Just wanted to make sure you were okay." I informed. "Aw, were you worried about me?" Lily teased.
"Not really. I would just get in trouble with Ozpin if he knew something happened to you."
"Hehe. Admit it, you were worried about me."
"Trust me, I wasn't. Besides, with your Beowolf around, I doubt you were in any kind of trouble."
Lily giggled again. "Hey, Ian. Can I ask you something?" She said. "Sure." I acknowledged. "Do you think it's possible for Grimm and humans to live together without attacking one another?" She asked.
"I thought we discussed this already. No, it's not possible." I stated. "But even if there was a way, would it be possible?" Lily said.
"I doubt it. When Grimm see a Huntsmen, let alone a citizen, the first thing they think to do is attack."
"But-"
"You should really drop this, Lily. A dream like that is impossible to make happen. Even if it were, it would take decades."
Lily looked down in disappointment. Great, did I upset her? "Hey," Lily lifted her head to look at me. "Let's go for a walk," I suggested.
Lily didn't reply, but she also didn't deny my offer. The Nevermore took off and Shadow walked behind us. "What is it about Grimm you find so fascinating? Aren't you afraid one might attack you?"
"No, because I have Shadow to protect me." Lily said. I sighed at her answer.
There's gonna be a time when Shadow won't protect her, and then what? I thought. I probably shouldn't tell her that. I don't want her getting upset.
"Lily, if this dream of yours could happen, what would happen to everyone else?" I asked. "Hmm? What do you mean?" She asked.
"You'd have your Grimm roaming free like you wanted, but what about everyone else? What happens to them?"
Lily stopped walking to think about it. "Well... Like I mentioned before, I'd keep the Grimm in a zoo. Big enough where they can do whatever they want and provide with everything they need."
"You have an answer for everything, don't you?"
"I think ahead,"
She smiled her usual smile. "Oh, I almost forgot! The one on one finals are about to start! We should go!" Lily informed. "Come on! To the colosseum!"
I watched as Lily started running ahead with Shadow following behind her. That girl is so childish, there's no way she's the same age as Ruby. I thought.
"Come on or we'll miss it!" Lily called over to me. "We've got popcorn waiting for us, so let's go!"
"Yeah, I'm right behind you." I replied, and walked after them.
Lily's POV
After putting Shadow in our room, Ian and I sat with Ruby, Blake, and Weiss as the one on one finals began.
The first pair to go up was Yang and Mercury. "Yeah, Yang! Kick his butt!" I cheered. "Break a leg, sis!" Ruby called.
The match began. The fight was intense and I loved how Yang fought against her opponent. I'm so proud of her.
I gasped with excitement when Yang's eyes turned red. "Yeah, Yang! This is it! Get in there and kick some butt!" I cheered loudly.
About thirty seconds later, Yang took Mercury down and declared victory. "Wow." Ian said in awe. "Yeah! You did it, sis!" Ruby cheered. "Way to go, Yang!" Blake applauded.
"Woo!" I cheered while hugging Ruby. "Let's go and congratulate her."
Before we had a chance to do that, Yang suddenly attacked Mercury. The audience gasped as a video of Yang shooting Mercury replayed on the screen.
I just couldn't believe my eyes. Why would Yang do something like this?

Ian and I returned to our dorm after that. I didn't even know what to think after what happened. My knees were hugged to my chest as the video of Yang attacking Mercury replayed in my head.
"I just don't freaking believe it," Ian said in disbelief. "I didn't think your sister was that kind of person."
"She's not!" I defended while standing up from my bed. "Yang didn't do it! She would never do that!"
"Lily, everyone saw what she did. You're still gonna deny that?" Ian asked. "But she didn't do it on purpose! I know Yang, and there's no way she would do something like that!" I stated.
"Yang is a sweet and caring person, and I know she wouldn't have attacked Mercury like that unless there was a reason."
Ian sighed. "You should go check on her. See how she's doing." He suggested. "Yeah. Can you watch Shadow for me?" I requested.
"Yeah, leave it to me. Go check on your sister." Ian insisted. I left the dorm and headed to Team RWBY's dorm.
I knocked on the door before creaking it open. "Yang?" I called softly. I stepped inside the room and saw Yang sitting on her bed. "Hey... Lily." She greeted.
"How are you doing? I mean... Are you okay?" I asked. "No, I feel horrible," Yang sighed before turning her head to face me. "Lily, you believe me, right?" She asked.
"What do you mean?"
"At the arena. He attacked me first, so I attacked back. I swear that's the truth."
"Of course I believe you, Yang. No matter what people may say or think of you, you are a good person. I know you wouldn't do something like this. It's not like you at all."
My words made Yang smile softly. "Thanks, sis," She said. I returned the soft smile and hugged her, in which she hugged me back. "Why don't you go meet up with Ruby? I think she's at the colosseum."
"Are you sure you'll be okay by yourself?" I asked. "Yeah, don't worry about me. Go have fun," She insisted. I looked at her in worry. "Lily, I'll be fine. Really. You know how tough I am."
I giggled at her comment. "I do. Catch ya later, sis." I said.
After giving her one last hug, I went to the colosseum to join up with Ruby.
