As the months passed, Vernon knew he had made a mistake. He could see things happening when the child, the girl, got upset or woke from a bad dream. Freakish abnormal things. He hated it. How was he supposed to keep his work in order if the little monster kept ruining things!?

The first time it happened was fine, he hadn't even been aware that it happened until later. The only reason he had realized something was wrong, was because he went to use the loo. And was met with the most ludicrous image ever to be seen by himself in the mirror.

His hair was turned a horrid neon pink color! Thank goodness it was a Saturday and the hour for yard trimming was yet to come. The color slowly faded away back into his normal blonde shade after about thirty minutes.

Things happened to the point he wasn't even sure he was sane anymore. He saw the children's toys floating about in the shared nursery room. The bunny would hop about as the snake slithered across the floor "playing together".

He knew Petunia saw the strange things too, she either ignored the happenings or patted Lillian's and Dudley's heads. He really didn't like the idea that his own son was plotting these pranks against him.

On one of those odd days he was blasted in the face with colorful glitters. He was a bit peeved, glitter stuck to everything, but thought nothing of it. Until he realized that Petunia didn't play pranks and she was not near.

Walking downstairs Vernon was met with the sight of Petunia, cooking breakfast, covered in small sparkly glitters. The sun making the little mirror-like bits sparkle merrily as she moved. A small smile played on her lips.

She had turned towards the door, hearing his footsteps stop, and froze. Then a burst of laughter came from her, seeming to shock her even more. She continued to laugh for a good minute and Vernon swore he felt the old flame he once had for her.

He chuckled along with her before going off and cleaning up for work. Those glitters were coming to work with him though, he knew that as a fact.

It was odd. He knew he had stopped loving his wife as he once did, so why? Why was seeing her smile and laugh goodnaturedly so appealing? Had he himself forgotten what it was like to enjoy her presence?

He had no idea. And yet. He couldn't help but be happy that she was smiling again. Even if it was for only a little while.

Still, something unpleasent lingered. A presence, or really, a faint memory of threats and danger in the back of his mind. He didn't know where it was from but he couldn't help but be wary of the effects it held on his senses.

[ A/N: Hello Everyone!
From here on I shall start up posting at least once a week, though I do have the urge to post all the chapters immediately, but no. I'll try my hardest to do 'regular posting' properly so it'll be more enjoyable in the long term and so I'll learn how to do this well.

Alrighty then, grand writing for all of you lovely chaps, have a good day/night and Thank You to everyone reading my story!♡ ]
