Charlie Weasley was never supposed to marry or have children of his own. His love of dragons had always been sufficient.

But then came a girl with the ability to transform into the very thing that drove his passion.

And all that passion slowly directed toward her.

They returned to their cottage and lived happily as long as they could. Love was as easy as breathing. But what came after was breathing fire.

Charlie spoke of dreams of the future. And slowly the nightmares of her past returned and haunted.

Guilt can be a hard thing to overcome.

And sometimes, it overcomes.

Eden knew what she must do. She began with Mcgonnagal.

Then his colleagues.

His family.

Leaving him for last.

She watched him out the cottage, through a cracked window. How easy it would be to step in? To be his forever?

A second chance.

Take it! Hold on and never let go!

She tasted salt as green flashed around them. Sobbing into her sweater, she erased. And replaced.

When it was all said and done, she back away. A twig snapped between her, Charlie's head snapping back as well.

She transformed, just as he came out of the cottage. Swooping above him, he watched with a shielding hand over his face.

No recognition. Only awe.

The world might've forgotten Eden Carrow.

But she would never forget him.
