Anne was finally leaving them, and Harry was having a hard time letting her go.

Having her here the past few days, made him realize how much he missed her and no matter how old he'll get, he'll always need his mother.

"Are you sure you have to go mum?" Harry asks once more as she puts her bags into the car.

"Yes, as much as I love you, I do like my peace and quiet." Anne kisses his cheek. "But if you need me to stay, I'll stay."

Harry actually considers it but decides against it. "No it's alright. I'll be fine."

"And Louis?" Anne asks straightaway.

Harry tenses up at the name. "What about him?"

"Are you two going to be alright?"

"I don't know," Harry shrugs, not knowing what more to say.

"I wished you two would just stop being idiots and fix things," Anne put bluntly.

"Mum it's comp-"

"Complicated, I know." Anne rolls her eyes and sighs, lifting her hand to caress his cheek. "I just want you both to be happy."

Harry stays silent and lets himself lean into his mother's touch.

"What the hell do you have in this bag Anne, bricks?" Louis joins them outside, clearly struggling to carry one bag.

"I had a bit of a shopping spree," Anne said bashfully. "There was a lot of good deals to be fair."

Louis drags the bag and practically flings it into the boot of the car.

"So this is where Harry gets his shopping habits from," Louis teases, glancing over to Harry for his reaction but finds him idly on his phone instead.

"Oh hush." Anne pulls Louis into a hug that he easily relaxes into. "It was nice seeing you again Louis."

"It was nice seeing you too. Have a safe trip home alright?" Louis gives her one last squeeze before letting go.

"Will do." Anne looks between them with a hopeful look on her face. "I love you guys, I'll call you when I get home."

Harry and Louis watch Anne get into the car and stay in the drive way until she leaves. Once her car was out of sight, it was silent, except for the sound of the wind rustling through the leaves, leaving a nice breeze on this warm night.

It was pitch black outside, the only source of light was coming from the porch lights.

There were plenty of stars scattered across the sky, each one brighter than the next. That's a sight you would never get to see in London.

This was one of the many reasons why Harry and Louis didn't want to live in the city.

As much as they both loved London, they couldn't stand the sound of cars honking every second of every day and the intense amount of pollution in the air.

Living outside the city was much more peaceful, especially since there weren't police sirens waking them up every morning.

"The sky looks really nice tonight huh?" Louis's voice cuts through the silence, trying to make friendly conversation.

Harry pretends not to hear him and instead keeps his eyes focused on the sky.

Louis looks over at Harry, about to repeat himself but before he could, his brain kind of short circuits when his eyes land on him.
