chapter 13: An old friend

Jett pov

I was stuck in my room for the weekend, only coming down to eat, I went down to dinner and let it all out

mom(concerned:" you ok sweetie"?

me(angrily under my breath):" what do you think?!?! I'm stuck in my room with nothing to do"

mom(starting to get pissed off at me):" watch your tone young man"

me:" watch my tone? watch my tone"?!?!

mom:" I'm warning you"

me(calming down slightly):" fine"!!!! ( walks upstairs and plops onto the bed and starts crying)

Lana pov

I'm not sure if I'm being to harsh with him, I get he's concerned about his friend, I'm fine with that but I take issue with how he's handling the situation but his change in behavior is starting to scare me, I really need to find someone to help him. a few second later we get a knock on the door and its Jayna and Samantha. I know their grandmother served during the war just like Jett, maybe she can help

me:" hey girls. how are you"?

Samantha:" we're good"

Jayna:" yeah. is Jett around"?

me:" yes , but he's grounded"

Jayna(upset):" oh, I totally forgot about last night"

me:" actually I have a favor to ask you girls"

Jayna(her ears perk up in curiosity):" yeah, what is it Ms. Marek"?

me:" your grandmother served in the war, right"?

Jayna:" yeah. us and Bridgette were going to walk to her house now that you mention it. what about my grandma"?

me:" I was wondering if she would be willing to talk to Jett. seeing they both served in the war"

Jayna:" yeah, she told me she'd be happy to speak to him again"

me(confused):" again"

Jayna:" oh. Jett never told you that he saved both my grandmother and fathers lives during the San Antonio incident"?

me:" no. he didn't, I didn't know that"

I call Jett down from his room, he seemed upset and as he walked down Jayna walked up to him and gave him a hug to cheer him up

me:" sweetie, I'm having you go with Bridgette and her friends to their grandmother's house"

Jett:" fine,  this day can't get any worse"

I give Jett a hug and a kiss on his forehead before him and the girls walked to Jayna's grandmother's house. I just hope hes willing to open up to her

Jett pov

We walked through to the outskirts of the city to a small one story house. we walked up to the door and Jayna rang the doorbell, a few seconds later a elderly wolf furry who must have been her grandmother walked up to the door and gave Jayna and Samantha a hug, followed by Bridgette, then she looked at me, she seemed familiar but I couldn't figure out where I've seen her, but she automatically recognized me

???:"oh my gosh, if it isn't the savior of San Antonio"?

me:" wait a second... Angela"?

Angela:" the one and only"

me(hugging her):" oh my gosh. Its been a long time"

Angela:" yes. it has. come on in"

me and the girls walked in and sat down on the couch as Angela sits down in a recliner, me and her began to catching up on the events that led up to this moment. she told me after Hoover dam was occupied by the furry army the U.S surrendered due to it powering over half the country, after the war she remarried after her husband was killed in action, she then had a daughter and moved out here to Colorado with her family. I then proceeded to tell her about how after I was brought back to Hoover dam and I was about to be executed but was saved in the nick of time after the furry army invaded the dam and I managed to get away but was sedated and placed in a cryopod and was frozen for all this time, and woke about about 3 months ago, and was adopted by Bridgette's mother and have hanging out with her grandkids. she then gave me a chilling realization. her son was the one that woke me up from my cryosleep

me(surprised):" wait what"?

Angela:" yes. my son works at Hoover dam as an electrician. he found a secret area exposed by the concrete and managed to damage the pod by overloading the power to it"

me:" wow. and here I thought the pod malfunctioned"
