Chapter Six

RAY (POINT OF VEIW)

I woke up and noticed that there was a person underneath me. I lifted my head to find out that the person was Norman. 'fuck'

My face turned a light shade of pink as I got off of him and stood up.

"Norman." I whispered trying to wake him without disturbing him.
"Normann." A little louder this time.

Norman slowly lifted his face while waking up and showing his beautiful blue eyes.
"Ray?" Norman responded while trying to process where he was and what happened.

"Come on, get up" I reached out my hand for Norman to grab. He grabbed it and I helped pull him up off the ground.

"Thanks."

"No problem." I noticed that Norman didn't release my hand. His hands were soft and warm. How is he so perfect?

"O-Oh sorry." Norman apologized after realizing he was still holding my hand. He then dropped my hand and along with that my smile dropped as well.

I didn't want him to let go, I wanted to hold his hand forever.

"No it's fine." I said grabbing his hand again while walking to the cafeteria with Norman dragging behind me. I managed to catch another glimpse of his face.
He was shocked but he didn't pull away.

We got to the cafeteria and found Emma helping Mama set up the tables. Don was piling the plates with food and Gilda was cleaning up the kitchen.

We walked up to Mama and asked if there was any work that she needed us to do. Emma had saw our hands and smirked.

"No, I think we've got everything." Mama said.

"Oh alright, i'll just ring the bell when it's ready." I offered.

"Yes Ray, that would be great." She smiled.

Norman and I sat across from one another at one of the tables that were ready for hungry children. Soon Emma joined us with the same smirk she had on earlier.

"Heyyy guys~" Emma teased.

"What's up Emma?" Norman questioned.

"I saw you guys holding hands." She said proudly as if accomplishing something.

"I u-uhm heh we were?" I said trying to deny it, I didn't really want Emma on our tail. She can't keep her mouth shut for anything. I'm surprised she didn't scream when she saw us in the first place.

"Yes, you were. And I would like to know if you guys are dating." She smiled.

I looked at Norman letting him answer. What was he going to say? Are we a thing? Are we dating? What are we?

"Yes." That was all Norman had to say to make Emma burst with joy. Little did they know I was much happier than Emma as a smile smile crept on my face with Emma still dancing at the end of the table.

"Ray, everything is ready. You can call the other children." Mama said interrupting Emma's dance party.

"Ok mama." I got up from the table and grabbed the little dinner bell and summoned the children.

We all ate breakfast in peace as another day had started and that smile never left my face...

hey sorry it's taking me forever to update. I've had a little trouble figuring out how to continue the story and i've been a bit busy with school and tests. But i hope to be more consistent with uploading.
