Psychic connections: Toritsuka x Saiki

Chapter 9

The next day, it was a school day.
The sun blasted through the curtains of Toritsukas house.
His eyes fluttered open, to see a text messages from Saiki.
'Goodmorning.'
He quickly replied to the message.

The medium sat up and rubbed his eyes, stretching out afterwards too.
When he checked the time, the boy realised how early it was.
5am, school began at 8 today.

Saiki was awake, and knew that Toritsuka was too.
The two decided to meet up, since Toritsuka was slow in the morning.
As Saiki was waiting at the park they were at last night, awaiting the smaller boy.
A few minutes later Toritsuka had arrived.

The two smiled at each other.
Both boys walked over to the local cafe, they sat in the corner.
Saiki pulled Toritsuka into an odd hug, while gently smiling at the boy.

Toritsuka ordered coffee and Saiki got his usual, coffee jelly.
Not long after ordering, it came.
The woman giving it smiled and spoke

-You two make a cute couple.

-Thanks but we're no-

Before Toritsuka could finish his response she walked away.
Saiki smiled and rest his head on Toritsuka's shoulder, closing his eyes at the same time, he was quite tired after last night.
The purple haired boy was blushing as he scooped up some coffee jelly and fed it to the other.
As Saiki ate what he was being fed, the workers were smiling at the two.

By the time they'd finished, it was time for them to go to school.
Both knew how Teruhashi would react, to them getting closer and didn't want to deal with it.
But she always knew everything.

-Hey Saiki. Since yesterday you've been really clingy.

-Well, you know ive taken a liking to you so.

Toritsuka blushed and quickly averted his eyes, looking at the floor.
To him, it meant everything
Saiki chuckled at the others.
When the purple haired boy suddenly stopped, and played with the sleeves on his uniform.

-Do you mean that...

-Yes.

-I hope so, cause i guess i've taken a liking to you too.

Toritsuka spoke proudly, laughing after finishing his sentance.
Saiki smiled gently, he had been smiling a lot more recently.
Everyone had noticed it, even him, everyone else knew the reason why he was smiling so much.
Everyone except Saiki.

The bell rang, signalling for home room to begin.
Toritsuka waved goodbye, and thought about meeting Saiki on the roof at lunch.
The other, being able to hear him, smiled and looked forward to lunch.

In class the pink haired was daydreaming, he thought about how much Toritsuka had changed him.
And how he was excited everyday to see him.
Kaidou slammed his hand down onto Saiki's desk, shocking the boy out of his thoughts.

-Hey, you've been lost in thought for ages y'know.

Saiki just sighed, not giving any other reply.
The door was soon slammed open, revealing Aren, Kaidous boyfriend, who had just gotten in trouble with the gym teacher for breaking equipment.
Kaidous face lit up upon seeing Aren, and quickly rushed to his side.

The two boys were chatting, being all lovey dovey.
Kaidou would cling to Aren, rarely letting go of him, they would include Saiki into the conversation, but wouldn't get much out of him.
Until, Saiki had an idea.

-Hey Aren, Kaidou. Who asked who out?

-Well Aren confessed, and then i asked him out.

-HOW DID YOU DO IT?!

-I-i.. don't know- Guess i just did it?

Saiki sighed, feeling defeated.
He slumped over in his chair, sighing once more.
Kaidou and Aren looked at each other, silently communicating.
Saiki who was confused, lifting up his head.
Aren wrapped his arm around Saiki's shoulder, and giving him a bright smile and used his over arms to give a thumbs up.

-Have you by any chance got a crush Saiki?

Saiki sighed one more.

-No.

Both boys laughed, knowing the truth.
The teacher quickly who had let them have a free period and came back finally.
Everyone turned to the front as the teacher made an announcement.

Although, Saiki knew it wasn't important so he just stared out of the window.
Then it was lunch time, Aren patted Saiki's back.

Toritsuka and Saiki met up on the roof to eat lunch, as Toritsuka started opening his bag to bring out the food.
Saiki had something to say to him.

-Hey.. do you have a crush on anyone?

eeeeeee i barely had motivation to write this.
it's a bit shorter than usual sorry.
