Clean Slate

"Who are you?"

Tommy pushed himself out of the hug eyes wide with fear

"W-who a-are y-you?!" He softly yelled his voice shaky still the low volume was unusually for Tommy even his normal speaking voice was closer to that of a scream.

Before Phil could even answer Tommy asked another question "W-where a-a-am I?!" His body trembled as his mind began to swirl with too many questions and not enough answers.

"Tommy what are you talking about? It's me Phil and you're in Techno's house" Phil was concerned and confused maybe Tommy was just in shock and wasn't processing what was happening?

Phil's response just confused and scared Tommy even more. "I don't know anyone named Phil or Techno" He stuttered, his voice barely audible.

Phil got a glance at Tommy's eyes but they were not the usual bright blue eyes instead they were a dull grayish blue like the sky when it's extremely foggy outside. Tommy's eyes no longer shined with Passion and Courage instead they were filled with only fear lacking that spark they were once filled with.

For a moment Phil thought it was an elaborate prank set up by Tommy. Phil hopped that it was a cruel joke but he knew deep down that Tommy wasn't faking it.

Phil's eyes started to well up with tears as he ran to Techno's room.

Techno was an extremely light sleeper so even the sound of the door opening made him jolt awake.

"what in the world is so important that it couldn't wait-" Techno stopped abruptly when he saw Phil's worried expression. "Phil?!" He rushed to Phil's side grabbing his sword ready to fight whatever threat he needed to in order to protect the few family members he had left "What happened?!"

Phil couldn't hold back the tears anymore as he tried his best to explain to Techno "Somethings wrong with Tommy" Phil paused between each word attempting to gain his composure which he somewhat successfully did. He wasn't audibly sobbing but warm tears still steamed down his face.

Techno rushed down to where Tommy was and immediately understood why Phil was so distraught. Tommy looked somewhat like himself but in no way was he acting like the Tommy Techno knew. Tommy was sitting in the corner knees to his chest trembling as his eyes darted around the room as if he were studying his surroundings. As soon as he saw Techno he went to protect his head as if he assumed Techno was going to harm him.

"P-p-please d-don't h-hurt me!" Tommy cried out his voice matching the way he currently looked but it was a stark difference from the teenagers usual booming energetic voice.

The voices seemed to have finally woken up after hearing Tommy's voice as thousands of concerned voices filled Technos ears asking a slew of questions about Tommy and Phil.

Techno very quickly changed his demeanor lowering his sword, relaxing his shoulders, and trying to look as calm and friendly as possible which was a difficult feat for the blood god.

"Hey" he spoke in a calm soft voice "I'm not going to hurt you" Tommy looked up at Techno shocked as if he hadn't ever been showed compassion in his entire life

"Y-you a-aren't?!" Tommy spoke his voice confused.

"No I promise." Techno replied he didn't even notice Phil standing in the doorway anxiously watching. "Now then, you're positive you don't recognize me?" Tommy only shook his head up and down in response but it was all Techno needed.

"Alright" Techno paused unsure of where to take this conversation. "Who do you remember?"

Tommy paused to think about the question but only one figure came to mind "A t-tall g-green m-m-man w-with a-a mask t-t-that h-has a smiley f-face o-on it" Just at the mention of dream Tommy looked on edge again which made Techno furious.

The fact that Dream did something to Tommy became crystal clear to Phil and Techno and both of them were not happy one bit.

"That motherfucker" Phil mumbled just barely loud enough for Techno to hear.

Techno jolted his head towards the door way where Phil was standing his eyes filled with rage and tears.

Techno looked back towards Tommy who was slightly less on edge but still clearly uneasy.

"Here why don't you get some sleep we can talk more in the morning" Techno figured that Tommy might be more open to answering some questions after he had some time to cool down and Techno had a green blob to find.

Techno picked Tommy up and laid him in the bed before tucking him in like he used to back when Tommy was only a toddler.

Tommy fell asleep almost instantly he looked so peaceful a stark contrast to how scared he looked only moments earlier.

Techno went up to Phil who was still standing in the door way both of them knew what they were going to do but neither of them wanted to leave Tommy alone.

"Phil.." Techno spoke his voice soft but filled with rage "Stay with Tommy I'm going to go find Dream and get some answers" Phil reluctantly agreed and sat down near Tommy's bed as Techno got armored up and headed out the door.
