I wake up on Pakrat's couch and I am momentarily disoriented as to where I was. I sit up and look around the bright, cheery living room which looks more like a natural history museum than an actual room. I hear someone else wake up in the other room yawning and stretching. I rest in the peace around me and forget for an instant forget about the nightmare the past couple of days have been with the frantic search for evidence. Pakrat walks into the room and says "well how did you sleep. " "I slept well, thank you." I respond following him into the kitchen. He pulls out a jug of orange juice and some pancake batter. "How do pancakes sound for breakfast?" Pakrat asks me "yes please." I say as I open the door and grab the newspaper scanning it briefly for any news of the suicides when, on page three, I read that so far thirty percent of the earths population so far have killed themselves. "Wait if it was thirty percent of the population, and we can assume that at least twenty percent was teen to young adult plus mostly female means our population will drop drastically." I tell Pakrat as he stirs the batter and is putting it in the pan to cook. "Well at least it means our problem of overpopulation shall be solved." He says and starts humming. I was taken aback by his candor and the way he just flippantly said that as if it wouldn't affect the world at all. "You must not understand that without them we are going to lose thousands of jobs while the government is going to start treating women like property to raise our population again." I say outraged. Pakrat breaks into tears in front of me "you're right, I didn't mean it that way its just that ...after losing her it was easier to view the world as numbers and not as humans anymore to avoid the pain." There was awkward silence then Pakrat's mom walks in with his sister saying "Honey dad is still out of town for his business trip and I have to go to work and drop of Kayla so be good and try not to burn the house down with your friend" and leaves just as quickly as she entered.

Pakrat and I were walking to the library when I stop and tell him "Let's have some fun today. We have been going to that library so many times that it now makes me sick to think about going there again so soon" Pakrat nods his head yes and I become worried that he is mad at me for being such a jerk this morning when I didn't even know he lost his girlfriend to the suicide epidemic. We walk around a little bit until we find ourselves at my house and I go inside to grab some stuff that I wanted when Pakrat stops me "No let me go in there and just tell me what you want I don't need you to break down too." so I tell him I would like my laptop, all of my portable gaming systems or tablets, chargers, my favorite books, my mom's favorite scrapbook, and I told him where all the money in the house was. We start down the street and I pull him into the arcade. A lot of people were there today and we had a blast playing each other on the fighting and racing games. Pakrat even found a chess game and he started teaching me how to play on all the different modes. We lost all sense of time and when I finally looked at a clock I was astonished to find out that it was almost six> We rush home as fast as we could and thankfully were there before his mom was. In the brief time that we had alone in the house we set up my laptop and made a signal booster for it so we could receive the library's free internet at the house.

A few weeks later and we had created an incredible blog and finished writing  powerpoint that condensed all the data we had gathered in an easily read manner because Pakrat and I are determined not to let the author get away with killing so many people. As expected and written about on our blog the government started cracking down on women of all ages setting a curfew that said no women or girl could be out before 8:00 am and they had to be inside their house before 9:00 pm. There were multiple other laws passed as well some good some bad. The government passed the list of laws and they are as follow

1. Any female can not partake in any dangerous activity including but not limited too: riding a bike, climbing trees, operating heavy machinery, swimming, knitting, rock climbing, rafting, etc.

2. All women must sign a form saying that they will produce at least three offspring if not more unless they have some deformity or are infertile, this applies to the younger generations as well.
