After everything had been cleared up, and Sapnap and Dream were back into their favored routine of consistent sleepovers and playful flirting, Dream found himself on the lower end of things once again.
Here he was, confused as hell, still not sure whether or not he wanted to kiss Sapnap or he was just really touch deprived and would kiss anyone at this point.
He didn't know if he wanted to touch Sapnap, or if he just had the general urge to touch anyone or anything.
To say the very least, Dream was confused.
But, at the end of the day, Sapnap was technically his boyfriend, and even though they had agreed to keep things platonic, Sapnap didn't seem to mind the frequent touching and long lasting eye contact. In fact, he seemed to enjoy it more than anything, even initiating it frequently.
So, anyone could see where the confusion came into play.
They both acted like they were attracted to one another, like what they truly wanted was to make everything official and stop playing their stupid dating game, but at the same time, neither seemed very likely to make a move.
It was going to go on forever at this point, and somehow, Dream didn't seem to mind even a little bit. He'd fake date Sapnap forever if it meant that neither of them ended up with anyone else. It was the easy way of claiming what he couldn't have without going too far out of his way.
In Dream's eyes, he had done the inevitable: gotten Sapnap to love him. That was all he needed and he had seemingly accomplished that much.
The past few weeks, the pair had been doing a lot of sneaking around, sticking to the outskirts of town and fleeing when they saw someone they knew. It wasn't like getting caught in public with your best friend was actually that bad, but somehow the thrill of keeping things secretive was intoxicating.
They just couldn't stop.
"I was thinking," Sapnap flipped a page in his binder, revealing a second sheet of homework. They were being given a lot of work to do right before finals and it was truly stressful.
"Oh boy," Dream playfully rolled his eyes, "Sapnap's thinking again. Here we go."
"Ha. Ha. Very funny," Sapnap stated sarcastically, "Seriously, Dream. Do you want to hear my idea or not?"
"Lay it on me," Dream put the television on mute and diverted his complete attention to Sapnap.
"My ideas won't be the only thing I lay on you," Sapnap winked obnoxiously, running a hand through his dark hair.
"Oh my god," Dream groaned and tossed his head back against the couch cushions, "Just tell me the plan or I'm not going along with it."
Sapnap took some time to laugh, mostly to himself, before setting down his pencil and moving to sit closer to Dream.
"So last night, I was putting glue on my skin and then picking it off," Sapnap begun, Dream almost immediately looking at him weirdly, "Then, I drew on top of the glue and when I pickedit off, the drawing disappeared."
"What exactly is your point?" Dream scoffed, "That's nothing new. I used to do that in kindergarten."
"Yes," Sapnap nodded, "but did kindergarten you know about the red X's they draw on underage people at the club? I don't think so."
Dream looked surprised, but in reality, he wasn't all that shocked. Sapnap's exotic thought process was nothing out of the ordinary and leave it to Sapnap to figure out how to get them alcohol.
"So, you're saying we can get drinks without being carded?" Dream asked, despite having already worked it out in his head, "I'm more than down."
"Great," Sapnap smirked suspiciously, "Go get ready. We leave in ten."
