Sapnap and Dream each stood in Dream's living room in front of their parents, turning around and around to display their outfits.

Their parents were gushing over how wonderful they looked and how excited they were for their children to finally be done with school.

It had been a long year, absolutely no doubt about it, but it had gone by rather smoothly and now here they were, prepared to end their high school years and begin working towards new achievements.

Dream was excited. In fact, he honestly believed he hadn't been more excited to attend school in years.

School had never been his strong suit and to be rid of it was like a dream come true, pun intended.

Dream stopped spinning for his audience, somewhat lightheaded. He had overdone it, as he was trying to exaggerate the stupidity of showing off his gown when it all looked the same anyway.

Sapnap had stopped moments earlier, and now he was positioned on the arm rest next to his moms, sloppily braiding a chunk of Lilith's hair. Dream smiled in wonder, deciding he'd have to request that Sapnap try to braid some of his hair later. His hair had grown out somewhat, and even though it couldn't possibly be braided as a whole, he was sure Sapnap would figure something out.

Once Dream was done with his little show, he gave a small curtsy, the crowd he had accumulated (it consisting of only their parents) in turn congratulated him with a round of applause.

"Are you planning on doing that on stage?" Dream's dad got up to clap him on the back, Dream just barely being shoved forward in the process, "I'd almost pay to see that."

Sapnap looked up from his work on Lilith's hair, holding the hair in place so it didn't slip out and unravel, "How much money are we talking?" He raised his eyebrows competitively.

"Maybe $20," Dream's dad opened his wallet to see what he was working with, "I'm low on cash. Sorry, little dude."

Sapnap scoffed and rolled his eyes, "Little dude says no then. $20 is not worth the embarrassment."

Dream's dad laughed in agreement, stepping to the side to allow his wife to pass. She was walking over to Dream, a saddened expression on her face.

Dream tried his best to get away, but it was no use. Their living room was filled to the brim with furniture and nicknacks, none of which actually matched one another.

To Dream's surprise, the waterworks never came and his mother stopped just short of hugging distance to simply put a hand on his shoulder and squeeze reassuringly.

A part of Dream actually felt bad and like he should go ahead and plunge himself into his mother's warm embrace and cry until they tired and their tears were all dried up, but he knew this wasn't the time.

He'd leave the crying for when he moved out. At least then he wouldn't be in the presence of Sapnap and his family.

"Your grandparents will be here any moment, Dream," His mother stated, pulling out her phone to check the time, "and then we can leave. Everyone ready?"

Everybody gave their answers, each of them deciding that when the time came, they'd all be prepared to head out.

Dream had always been somewhat of a confident person, and was almost never shy. If he was dared to do something, no matter the dare, he'd do it. If he was thrown into a room of all new people, he'd introduce himself to each and every one.

But there was just something about today that made his stomach fill with nervous butterflies, and gave his head a fuzzy feeling. There was something about today that made him feel like he was leaving everything behind.
