New Orleans was certainly a sight to behold. There were parts of the city that were most definitely questionable, reeking of weed and piss, but the majority of the streets were filled with treasures and magnificent colors and decor.

Jazz music seemed to be following Dream, never ceasing no matter where he went. It was blaring out of storefront speakers, street performers, and even the lampposts, which seemed to house built in audio players.

It was beautiful, all of the shops filled with goodies you could only find in the heart of this city, beautifully drawn murals, incredible smelling food. Dream was simply amazed at how incredible of an idea it had been to come here.

As Dream was getting dressed, about to take Sapnap out for lunch, something they were calling their first true date outside of their hometown, he struggled to find something he could actually wear.

It had begun to sprinkle already, and with this being the city that it was, it was sure to begin pouring down at any moment. Their weather was almost as unpredictable as Florida's had been.

They had bought an umbrella in the hotel lobby, one that was decorated with colorful swirls and splotches, one that Sapnap didn't much approve of, but Dream still found himself pondering over what outfit he wouldn't mind getting soaked in the rain, if the issue approached.

A car could drive fast, splashing them as it raced through a puddle, or the wind could pick up and blow all of the rain into their faces, or somebody could dump a bucket of rainwater over their heads.

In all honesty, Dream was being a bit ridiculous, and Sapnap was getting tired of waiting for Dream to figure out what to wear.

"Dream, I hope you understand just how stupid this is," Sapnap pouted by the door, tapping his foot. He looked more than annoyed.

"I know. I know," Dream threw a t-shirt onto the bed, as if it were the one he was going to finally pick, but then he placed it back in his suitcase, "I just didn't bring anything worth ruining."

"Nothing will get ruined," Sapnap sighed, walking over to where his own suitcase was open, displaying his pile of unorganized clothing, "We aren't dealing with acid rain here. It's just a little water."

"A little water that could end up destroying my entire outfit," Dream pointed out, "I will not be taking any chances."

Sapnap removed a sweatshirt from his stash and threw it at Dream, it winding up covering Dream's face, draped over the back of his head.

"There," Sapnap tugged on Dream's arm, "Now let's go."

Dream was quick to throw on the sweatshirt, it fitting him almost perfectly. They were similar in size, but not in height, and Dream still managed to make fun of Sapnap for that, constantly reminding him that he was short.

Sapnap would always retaliate by reminding Dream that he was just obnoxiously tall, and that he was nearly over average height. It always seemed to end with Dream wrapping Sapnap in a hug, pretending it was affectionate, but in reality, it was just a reminder that Sapnap barely reached Dream's chin.

Bourbon Street was filled with people, nearly nobody seeming to be in a hurry. They were all simply wandering from place to place, stopping in shops, and pulling over to snap pictures.

It was nice, being somewhere else for a change. Dream had grown so used to the sights of his own town, the constant familiar faces becoming a bore.

The fact that he got to have this experience was nothing but excitable, and the added bonus that Sapnap was here with him, made everything so much better.
