~ Chapter 23 ~

Today was the day of the yule ball, i and hermione decided to invite Angelina, Alicia, and Ginny to get ready with us. After we all finished lunch we ran to the common room and left the boys at the table. As soon as we reached our dorm, we all got our dresses and hung them on the wall. All the dresses looked beautiful together, all the different colors were quite charming to look at. Angelina helped me and Hermione do our hair while we tried to finish our makeup looks, while Alicia and Ginny were trying on their dresses. after a few minutes, they went out. As we looked back at them we all dropped our jaws "you guys look stunning" Hermione said they both turned red and pretended to get embarrassed. As it reached 7:30 we all got into our dresses and made a circle looking at one another. We all looked stunning.. I can't wait to see how the ball looks, "are you guys ready?" I asked in an excited tone. They all looked up and nodded, as we were slowly walking out the portrait hole i noticed many students on their way to the great hall, hand in hand with their partner. As we reached the end of the staircase, we all turned to each other and decided to make it dramatic. Each and one of us went down slowly as the others introduced us, first was Angelina "May we present! Angelina Johnson! She is now walking down the steps with her beautiful white gown!" As Alicia finished introducing Angelina it was her turn, "second up! Alicia Spinnet!! As you see, she is slowly walking down to her date with her yellow dress! As Hermione finished it was her turn. She seemed worried "Hermione, you look beautiful.. Don't worry" she nodded and headed down the steps "NEXT is hermione granger!! As you can see she has decided to wear a beautiful periwinkle dress!" as she reached her date they wrapped their arms and all the girls waited for me to come down. I looked down and saw my date looking up at me, as i walked down the steps all the girls shouted at the end of the stairs "MAY WE PRESENT Y/N SNAPE WITH HER BEAUTIFUL RED DRESS" as they all giggled i turned red as Andrei smiled at me. Once I reached him he hugged me and I noticed almost everyone staring at us, Cedric was at the entrance with Cho Chang, Draco was in the corner with all his friends and George was across from us beside Alicia... as we let go I looked down and felt sad... I really wish he would ask- "y/n.. You look stunning.. May we?" as Andrei bowed I giggled "we may" as he wrapped our arms together we waited for everyone to settle down and for the champions to line up. Behind us was cedric so he tapped my shoulder and introduced me to Cho Chang "oh! So you're the famous y/n that motivated this boy to ask me" i started to nod and we all giggled as i turned back around i saw Mcgonagall walk towards us "come on everyone! Go in!" As we entered the great hall I looked up in shock.. It was beautiful! There were fairy lights everywhere, snow going down from the ceiling, and beautiful Christmas decorations around the hall. As we reached the dance floor, slow music started to play. As all the champions started to dance the teachers joined in. Andrei was spinning me around and holding my waist, after a while, someone tapped my shoulder and I turned back. I looked down and saw Mason smiling up at me with his dress robe, he cleared his throat and looked at Andrei "may i steal my sister for a bit? i and father would like to dance with her" as Andrei nodded he sat at the side and watched me and mason slow dance after a while father joined in and put his head on my shoulder "y/n.. I am so proud of you.. We are so proud of you" he looked down at mason who was smiling widely "ok father! We must go! I'm sure y/n has a few boys that want to dance with her. As they waved goodbye at me with smirks on their faces Andrei came back with juice in his hand, he grabbed me and pulled me a chair. As I sat down I saw many people laughing and enjoying their time. After a while, one of my friends asked to dance with me, whenever one of them asked me I would mouth "I'm sorry" to Andrei who just kept on saying "it was fine" and chuckling.As the night passed, students started going back to their common rooms. As I said goodbye to all my friends I walked towards Andrei. "I had such a great time.. Thank you" as I hugged him tight he let go and looked at me, he then bent down and kissed my cheek "goodnight.. y/n" as he walked away I turned red and headed back to the portrait replaying that moment. As I entered the common room, I noticed how dark it was, as I was slowly sitting on the couch I bumped into someone. I looked up and I noticed it was George, I heard him sit back down and say "sorry y/n.." "no it's alright! Did you have fun?" "no.. but i'm sure you did" his tone sounded sarcastic. "What does that mean.." "None.. it doesn't matter" "george don't you dare act like that. What's the matter" "i SAID NOTHING" as he shouted i flinched.. He never shouted at me.. "Ok.." as I stood up and ran to my dorm I heard him call out "no! Wait for y/n pl-" before he could finish his sentence I banged the door. I ran to the bathroom with tears going down my cheeks and saw Hermione crying at the same corner as before. I sat down beside her and we both hugged each other tight "I guess our night had some complications.." Hermione said looking up at me "wanna talk about it?" i said.. She nodded and explained after a while so did i.. It seems like the Weasley brothers ruined our night..
