Just a reminder that this story is a work of realistic fiction and not some investigative writing. Although it is influenced by real events, I don't know exactly how things work in a sex trafficking ring. I had to add details from my imagination to give the story some substance. Things may not align with the actual operations of a tracking ring and I will probably edit with time if I get more information on that.
However, the focus of the story is not on the operations of the ring, but rather to show the tenacity of a survivor, how she rises above her fears, shame and pain, outside the ring.
