**That's my weekend groove song up there...haha. Play it as you read.**

Journal entry

Things are looking up for me. I try not to think of what I had to do to get here. Maybe the end justifies the means after all.

Mina

I get excited as the weekend approaches. The thought of seeing Luke again is giving me major butterflies. He always comes back home on the weekends. Naturally, he'd stop by the diner, and I'd see him. But what is making my heart race even more is that he may come to the caravan. I doubt one night is enough payment for a caravan. I mean, I'm young but I'm not naive anymore. When men spend on you, they always make sure they collect the equivalent value of their money in pleasure. So, I wouldn't lie and say I am not expecting him. What is freaking me out is that I am looking forward to it.

What's wrong with me? Sitting here having butterflies for a boy who is clearly with another girl. I know the lines are blurred in front of me, but I am not trying to see clearly right now. In the ring, transactions were clear and precise. I knew what was expected of me, what I was giving and what I was getting. I didn't spend one extra thought worrying about my client's perception of me, or if I will see him again. I never yearned for a second meeting.

I needed to get a grip on myself. This was not the pretty woman movie. I busy myself by packing my pyjamas into my backpack. Maybe that will busy my mind too. Today is the sleepover at Violet's and we decided I will go straight from work.

My laundry is already done, and I'm cleaned up nicely and dressed for work. But I still have time. So, I sit on the bed and write some entries in my diary.

"At what age did you have your first kiss and with who?'

The question is for Violet. We are seated in a circle on the floor of Violet's bedroom playing a game Monica called 'secrets or silence'. It is basically like truth or dare in a way. Someone asks you a question and you choose whether to spill a secret or keep silent. The penalty for keeping silent instead of spilling the secret is a gulp of apple cider. Violet's mom does not allow alcohol in her home, so..., apple cider. After tasting it, I realize a lot of secrets will be spilled at this game. The taste is so terrible, it makes me shudder.

The girls at this sleepover are actually cool. There is Monica, she is on the cheer-leading team. There's Andrea, she is on the debate team with Violet. And there's Michelle, I can't remember the club she's in. I expected them to look at me like 'oh you're the girl who serves us lunch at school', but they are very nice and friendly. I warm up to them in no time.

"My first kiss was at fourteen'' Violet says ''In the kissing booth, with Tyson''

We all cheer and clap for her. That is the full reward for spilling a secret.

It is now Violet's turn to ask, and she chooses Michelle. ''Is it true that you made out with Bryan under the bleachers last season?"

Michelle pales a little, ''of course not''.

"hmmn...I think saw someone making out with him one day. It looked a lot like you'' Monica says in a singsong manner.

"Well, it wasn't'' Michelle argues. ''Now your turn, new girl'..." she looks at me.

"It's Mina" I correct.

"Right, Mina. How was your first time?"

A hush falls over the room.

"I bet a dollar she's a virgin," Andrea says after a while of me remaining silent.

"I bet 5 dollars she's not" Monica counters.
