The 10-year-old prince Taehyung had already decided that if he ever marries someone, it would be someone who he dearly loves. Someone who gives him butterflies in his stomach. And it was none other than his personal servant Jeon Jungkook.

Jungkook's family has been working in the palace as their servants for years. His parents were The King's personal servants since they were kids, and so was Jungkook of Taehyung's.

They never had a servant-master relationship; it was always being together like best friends. Taehyung understood whatever Jungkook couldn't speak due to their differences. He never mistreated Jungkook. He would always prioritize Jungkook over his fellow prince friends because he was the only one who understood him.

"Master! Stop running!" Jungkook shouted as he ran after Taehyung who stopped when his name was called upon. He looked at Jungkook, a frown prominent over his small face.

"Jungkook, how many times have I told you not to call me that?" He chided while the said man hung his head low.

"Father scolded me because he heard me call you Tae" Jungkook spoke.

"I will talk to him and tell him that I allowed you to address me by my name" Taehyung said as he sat down on the lush grass that surrounded his huge personal garden covered with fragrant daisies and roses.

"Tae! You should not sit down like that. Your clothes will get dirty and then His Majesty would scold me" Jungkook said in a worried tone.

"Why do you keep saying His Majesty this, His Majesty that. Do you like him more than me?" Taehyung pouted as he looked at his friend.

"It is nothing like that. I respect His Majesty and look up to him, but you will always be my best friend" Jungkook smiled at Taehyung who couldn't help but return the smile to him.

"What do you think about marriage, Jungkook?" The 16-year-old prince Kim Taehyung asked his friend-cum-servant whose eyes had widened at the sudden question.

Taehyung was sitting on his usual spot in the garden, surrounded by daisies and roses while Jungkook stood beside him. Taehyung's music classes had just gotten over and he was stalling around with Jungkook before his horse-riding classes started.

"M-marriage?!" he asked in surprise. He had never thought about marriage since he was to serve the prince forever and there was no time to think about these meagre topics.

"Yes. We are at the legal age to get married, you know?" Taehyung said as he looked at his friend who was giving a thought now.

"Well....To be honest, I have never liked weddings because of the hustle-bustle. The crowd and big ceremonies associated with the wedding never excited me" He spoke, then looked at Taehyung who was staring at him blushed with embarrassment.

"What about you?" He asked as he held his head low, not wanting to show his blushing face to Taehyung.

Taehyung let out a long hum before falling on the grass, hands behind his head.

"I am not against marriage, but I just want to marry someone who I love, not for politics, not for the sake of the throne. But it is unachievable because it is already decided that father is going to choose my bride" he sighed a sad sigh.

There was silence for a few minutes before Taehyung looked at Jungkook.

"Jungkook" he called out and received a "yes" as a response.

"What if we both marry each other?" The sentence itself made Jungkook flinch and look at Taehyung with shock lacing in his eyes.

"W-w-what are you saying, Tae?! I can never! This would be a crime and I would be beheaded!" Jungkook shrieked out which in turn caused the prince to laugh out loud.
