The lightning boomed stridently as the two ran towards the village to find some shelter, their clothes drenched and shoes covered with mud. Jungkook was in front of Taehyung, walking with the horse while checking constantly if Taehyung was safe behind him.

His eyes fell over an abandoned hut just at the outskirts of the village, and he turned towards Taehyung.

"Master! We can spend the night here because going to the village will not be a good idea because of the heavy rain!" Jungkook spoke.

"Okay then! We shall stay here for the night" Taehyung said. They headed towards the hut, carefully walking through the mud-spattered path. Suddenly, Taehyung's foot slipped because of the mud. He was about to fall when Jungkook grabbed his hand.

"T---Master! Carefully!" Jungkook shouted as he helped Taehyung up. Taehyung looked at Jungkook who had turned back. For a second, he thought that Jungkook was about to call him something else, but then he brushed it off by telling himself that it was just the rain that made him mishear it.

Taehyung hurriedly got inside the hut while Jungkook went to find a secure place for the horse. Taehyung looked around the hut to find something that could start a fire. He spotted some logs and dried grass, so he assembled them and lit the fire by the fire stones kept near the logs. He sat beside the fire, waiting for Jungkook to come inside.

Many minutes passed but there was still no sign of Jungkook so Taehyung got out of the hut to look around for Jungkook but he wasn't anywhere around. Taehyung started to get worried. He was about to walk further when he saw a silhouette walking towards him.

"Jungkook?" He called out.

"Yes, Master? Do you need any help?" Jungkook spoke and Taehyung sighed a sigh of relief, even though he did not express it over his face, he was relieved that Jungkook was fine.

"Where did you go?" He asked.

"I reached out for help. I have sent the castle a letter to send a carriage to take us back" Jungkook said as they entered inside the hut.

"How much time will it take for the carriage to arrive?" Taehyung asked as he sat on the ground.

"Master! Your clothes will get dirty" Jungkook said as he started removing his coat for Taehyung to sit but Taehyung stopped him.

"How much dirtier can they get?" Taehyung mocked Jungkook as he turned his gaze towards the fire.

"It will take them at least two hours to send a carriage in such a storm" Jungkook spoke.

There was absolute silence until Taehyung noticed that Jungkook was still standing. He huffed as he spoke "You can sit down beside the fire, Jungkook".

"Thank you for the kindness, Master but I do not wish to cause you any inconvenience" Jungkook spoke which pissed Taehyung off as he clicked his tongue.

"You are causing me inconvenience by standing. It is a hindrance, so please sit down" Taehyung said tediously.

"As Master says "Jungkook said before sitting down. Taehyung averted his eyes from Jungkook once he sat down.

The silence remained, the two watching the fire crackle in front of eyes, until a chilly gust of wind blew in from the window, causing Taehyung to shiver. He suddenly sneezed making Jungkook look at him.

Jungkook immediately removed his coat and extended it towards Taehyung.

"Please accept this, Master. I do not wish for you to catch a cold" Jungkook spoke. Taehyung did nothing but stare at the coat and then at Jungkook.

"I refuse to accept it" Taehyung mumbled out, averting his gaze from Jungkook, a hand kept over his mouth while his elbow resting over his folded leg.

"Master, you have a lot of responsibilities, and if you will fall sick it would be troublesome for everyone, even The Majesty" Jungkook spoke which immediately made Taehyung angry.

He whipped his head towards Jungkook as he shouted "You do not need to tell me that! Can you just shut up for a second and not talk about my father?!" There was complete silence for a minute, Taehyung breathing rapidly due to anger, and Jungkook trying to process the words that Taehyung had just shouted. Taehyung has never spoken to anyone this way and hearing him speak like that for the first time...surprised Jungkook.

"I understand, Master. I apologize" Jungkook spoke, his head held low.

Jungkook placed his coat in front of Taehyung while Taehyung just stared at him.

"If you do wish to cover yourself, please help yourself with this, Master" Jungkook said, receiving silence as his response.

Taehyung stared at Jungkook; his white shirt was soaking wet making it transparent. Jungkook's muscles were visible from underneath the shirt. With time, Jungkook had developed an attractive body, doing all the labour. His jawline was steep, his coal hair was dripping water, similar to Taehyung's. His doe eyes that looked so pure and innocent in the past had a sense of maturity and seriousness in them now. Being distant from Jungkook for all this time, Taehyung had forgotten how fine-looking Jungkook always has been, and with time, his appearance has only developed.

Taehyung looked away from Jungkook, realizing what he was doing, and hating himself for doing it. There was a short flutter in his heart which he immediately wanted dead because maybe it was just the dimly lit atmosphere that made him feel so, otherwise, he would never think about Jungkook in this way as all he had in his heart for Jungkook was pure animosity.

Just a few days more and he would totally be free from this single bond that is left between them, and he knows Jungkook would be happy with their divorce too since their marriage was nothing but torment for him.

Or more of a childish fit.

Taehyung was brought out of his thoughts when they heard some commotion outside the hut.

"I will check, Master" Jungkook said as he stood up and walked outside.

Taehyung stood up too, preparing to go outside but he halted when he noticed the coat lying on the ground.

He stared at it for a moment before picking it up and then walking outside.

"Master, the carriage has arrived. We can leave" Jungkook said and Taehyung nodded before getting inside the carriage.

"Master, I will just put off the fire and come back" Jungkook spoke before going inside the hut and putting the fire off.

He waited for a moment or two, staring at the place where his coat was before going out of the hut and sitting inside the carriage.

Taehyung looked at Jungkook before giving him the coat.

"Did you plan to leave your coat behind, you dunce?" Taehyung chided.

"I apologize for forgetting about it. Thank you for your kindness, Master" Jungkook bowed as he took the coat.

But what else was he supposed to say?

That he left behind the coat on purpose?
