Chapter Seventeen

That night, I went to my dormitory at the usual time, and pretended that I was asleep whilst the other girls came in to go to bed.  I laid in my bed for what felt like hours, but was actually only two hours.  Once it was 11:15pm, I got out of bed and went down to the Common Room, in my pink bathrobe, and sat down on one of the comfy armchairs - waiting for Ron and Harry to leave.  Not long after, they both came down in their PJ’s bathrobes, and headed towards the Portrait Hole.

I can’t believe they are actually going to do this, I thought.  They are going to lose my points that I earned, and possibly get themselves expelled.  And I couldn’t let someone get expelled just because they were that stupid that they listened to a snake.  I flicked the light on, making up my decision to stop them.

“I can’t believe you are going to do this, Harry” I said, disappointed in the two of them.

“You!” Ron explained, getting furious, “Go back to bed!”

Now is the time to tell them I nearly told Percy- Percy who would be able to put a stop to their madness - I thought.

“I nearly told your brother, Ron.  Percy – he’s a Prefect.  He’d put a stop to this. We are supposed to be getting along with each other; and NOT aimlessly fighting and duelling them!” I said.

Harry looked like he was able to leave, and sure enough, he started heading back towards the portrait hole.  But I wasn’t going to give up that easily; so I followed them, getting angrier by the second that they wouldn’t listen to me.  But I wasn’t going to get myself into trouble, so I planned to go back inside after I told them ‘not to go’ a bit more.

“Don’t you care about Gryffindor” I said, trying to rile them up so that they would turn around, “You only care about yourselves.  I don’t want Slytherin to win the House Cup, and you’ll lose all the points I got from Professor McGonagall for knowing about Switching Spells”.

“Go away” Ron and Harry said simultaneously.

At this point, I knew that nothing I say would work, so I was going to turn around, after I warned them again.

“All right, but I warned you.  You just remember what I said when you are on the train tomorrow on your way home; you are so – “ I said before turning around and realising that the Fat Lady had gone.  I was locked out of the Gryffindor Tower.

“Now what am I going to do!?!?!?!” I exclaimed.
