As Peter was exhausted from trying to find Sandman and making Harry suffer from amnesia, forgetting who he was, he decided to take a break while wearing the suit at night. He had nightmares of seeing his uncle die over and over.
Meanwhile, the ooze came from the closet, crawled up Peter's bed and immediately attached to his right hand.
First, it spread around his body, covering his legs.
His arms.
His torso.
His mask.
Peter woke up in the black suit. He saw himself in the mirror to take a better look. The suit was shiny, looking like a rubber suit, the symbol was sharper and he looked buff. He could feel the strength within the suit so he decided to try it out and went to the building to take an even bigger look.
As he looked in the window and jumped to it, seeing his suit, swings away with the new suit.
