Promotion day. Rain, Cheska, and Shane slept over Kim's house para sabay sabay na silang pumunta sa venue. They were just getting ready and they were already anxious.
They left the house at 6:30 am and they arrived at 8 am. It was an hour and a half ride and they just slept the whole ride. As they were waiting for their team mates and coach, kumain sila ng almusal na ipina baon ng Lola nila.
Saktong pagtapos nilang kumain, dumating na ang mga hinihintay nila. Rain was busy looking for Chelsea to pass their requirements for the promotion.
"Bat ba nila ako iniwang mag isa? Kelangan ba talagang tatlo silang mag cr?" Rain whispered to herself.
"Rain? May I have your papers?" Ani ng pamilyar na boses na nanggaling sa likuran ni Rain. Napaigtad sa gulat ang dalaga at kaagad namang humingi ng tawad si Chelsea.
"Keep it lowkey self. Stop sweating she'll notice how nervous you are" said the voice in her head.
"I see you're nervous. Ganyan talaga yan sa una, strikto ang mga coach pag nag pa promo. Kami nga noon pumalpak sa interview kase di kami nakapag review ng maayos. Pag tapos ng promo nyo, yellow belt kana. Do your best na mag yellow high para next promo, Blue belter kana agad. Mahirap ang promo ng colored belts kasi may sparring. Bugbog ka dun kaya galingan nyo mag training" Chelsea told Rain. Rain just chuckled and it wasn't a "kilig" chickle, it was a chuckle of nervousness.
"I told you she'll notice how nervous you are. Thank God she thought it was about the promotion. Stupid Rain." She scolded herself.
Dumating rin ang mga pinsan nyang galing ng cr at nagpaalam na si Chelsea. She needs to collect their papers. Chelsea isn't going to be promoted so the coach asked her to collect the white belters' papers.
"Ehem, may natatae sa nerbyos jan. Kinausap lang ng crush" Shane teased Rain and laughed out loud. The other two laughed with Shane while Rain stood there dumbfounded. She just realized her crush talked to her.
"Epal nyo. Sana pumalpak kayo sa poomsae nyo" Rain said defensively and went to stretch.
The promotion started and it was time for their self defenses. Rain was already nervous and when she looked at their coach, she saw Chelsea staring at her which made her more nervous. Kulang nalang mahimatay siya sa kinatatayuan nya.
"Si-jak!" The coach shouted and she started performing. When she finished, she almost lost her balance because her legs were wobbly.
"Nice one." Chelsea said to her. Those two words gave her goosebumps. She didn't expect that to happen.
"Thank you" Rain said shyly without looking into her eyes.
The promotion ended and they went to eat lunch. Rain was busy eating her lunch when their team mates entered the same fast food chain they were in. Rain choked while drinking her water because she saw Chelsea.
"Rain chill. Masyado kang halata" Kim whispered.
"Shut up Kim. Wala akong crush sa ngayon." Rain lied.
"Ikaw? Mawawalan ng crush? Sinong niloloko mo ate Rain?" Cheska teased her. Rain just rolled her eyes and began to eat.
Umupo ang kanilang team mates malapit sa table nila. Ilang metro lang ang distansya nila sa mga ito kaya nama'y dinalian ni Rain kumain para maka alis na sila.
They all arrived home safely and Rain shut herself in her room. She decided to scroll through facebook and saw a familiar face.
Chelsea Gryffon
Rain stalked the account and she sent a friend request. Minutes later, Chelsea accepted her friend request and Rain was shocked.
"That was fast"
Rain likes to share memes and stuff on facebook and since she shared a lot that day, Chelsea reacted to all of it.
She froze for a couple of seconds then shook her head while smiling. "Is she stalking me?"
She fell asleep after all the sharing stuff she did on her facebook account. The next day, Kim and Shane came to her house. Tumambay sila dito at napag desisyunang i stalk ang kanilang mga team mates.
"Oo nga pala, chinat ako ni ate Chelsea kahapon. She asked me how was the promotion and stuff like those" Shane told them randomly.
"Ako rin. That was random but it wasn't a long conversation. How about you Rain?" Tanong ni Kim kay Rain.
Rain was confused. Why didn't she received a message from her crush? Is she avoiding her? She got jealous and mad at the same time.
"No, I didn't" Rain said in a cold voice.
"Oh look, nag chat ulit sya" ani ni Shane.
"Can you ask her if having a girl crush is normal or is it already considered as bisexual?" Rain asked Shane randomly. She didn't even think before spitting those words out of her mouth.
Shoot. Now I'm being too obvious.
"Hmm ate Rain has a crush. Confirmed" Shane laughed and she proceeded to type.
"She replied. You talk to her and I will find something to eat. Nakakagutom mang stalk" Shane said and stood up to look for food.
Chelsea: Depende. If ang nararamdaman mo sa girl crush mo is parang gusto mo na sya makasama lagi or you feel your heart race and it skips a beat when you see her something like that, doon ka siguro magiging bi. Sorry, I'm not good at giving advices but yeah, I hope it helped.
Shane came back with cookies and water in her hands and she typed thank you and sent it to Chelsea. Tinawanan ni Shane ang itsura ni Rain because she froze in her spot with her eyes wide open. Rain felt like Chelsea was actually talking to her even though she was using Shane's phone.
After two hours, the two went home and Rain was sharing stuff again in her facebook account. She jokingly shared a post saying that she currently has a crush on a girl. A message popped up in her phone and she opened it. Her hand was shaking when she realized it was Chelsea who messaged her.
Chelsea: Sino yung crush mong babae?
She wasn't suppose to reply. She didn't know what to say.
"Too late. Na seen mona shunga mo" Rain said to herself.
Rain: Secret lol
Chelsea: Tell me. Diko sasabihin sa iba promise.
Rain needs to think fast. She can't confess yet since she wasn't sure about her feelings.
Rain: Si ate Gwen. Crush kong babae. Sa lalaki naman si Mark.

Their topic was all about crushes and the two got close. Every training, they tease each other a lot about their past crushes. Rain's feelings for Chelsea grew but she didn't want to admit she's falling in love. She thinks it's just a crush, nothing more nothing less. Everything was fine until school days came and someone from Chelsea's past came.
