I have to go back home

Before I know it, it's time to go to the bakery to help Melissa conduct these interviews I set up last week. After the last couple of days of doing nothing but lounging around the pool and having lots of sex with Jayson I do not want to leave his home.

**Ring Ring** I look down at my phone as I slide behind the wheel of the 2019 Jeep wrangler that Jayson is letting me use.

"Hey mom!"

"Hey honey. How is everything going there? Are you about finished up?"

"Everything is going well. I am helping Melissa hire a couple of new people for the bakery here so that she can start taking a little time off to spend with her family. I am hoping that we have new people hired and started by Monday so that I can leave Tuesday and head back that way. How is everything there? Carolina hasn't burned down my place has she?"

My mom laughs. I love hearing her laugh. "No sweetie. Your home is fine. She is keeping it clean. You got to giver her a little more credit you know. Everything is good here. Your dad is in Virginia right now taking care of some business there. He should be back tomorrow morning though. So, Carolina has mentioned that you have been staying with a man there. "

I roll my eyes. I am going to strangle Caroline when I get back. "Carolina can't keep a secret to save her life. But yes, I am. I don't want to talk about him though. All you need to know right now is that he is a gentleman."

"Oh Scarlet. I'm your mother. You have to tell me more about him. And are you driving right now? "

"No mom I do not have to tell you more. You have to wait. I don't know what's going to happen with the two of us. And yes, to answer you question, I am driving."

"Why would you rent a car?"

"Well, I didn't. Jayson is allowing me to use on of his vehicles until I leave."

"Can you at least send me a picture of this Jayson?"

"Mom. No. I have to go. I am about to walk into the bakery. I will call you later today. I love you."

My mom sighs, "Ok honey. I love you too. Talk to you soon."

Before getting out the jeep I shoot Caroline a text.

Me: I am going to kill you!

Caroline: Why? I didn't have sex on your kitchen counters. Just the kitchen floor.

I groan before I send my next text.

Me: Caroline! Not what I wanted to know. You told my mom about Jayson. And make sure you scrub my floors!

Caroline: ;-)

I didn't even reply. I slide my phone into my purse and went into the bakery.

"Well that wasn't too bad." Melissa sighed from her desk.

We have finished interviewing all six candidates. We decided on hiring 3 people. The last person we interviewed we offered them a job on the spot. His name is Craig. He will be starting tomorrow instead of waiting until Monday. That way he has the whole weekend to learn things.

"Well, all you have to do now is call Natasha and Sasha. Then you will be all set."

"Thank you for all of your help. Oh, and thank you again for staying around last week so I could have some time to myself and my family. Even though it was only four hours extra it was great."

"No need to thank me. I know how it can be to work all the time and have no time for myself let alone any of my family or friends. Make sure from here on out you take some time for you and make time for your family and friends. Don't let work take over your entire life. I will be here until Tuesday. If you need something before then, please don't hesitate to call me."
