I have to leave tomorrow

Author note: I am sorry you have had to wait so many days for this new update. I kind of got stuck and couldn't make up my mind how I wanted things to go. This chapter sucked but I will be back strong in the next one. :D

I have no idea what just happened. I just opened up and told Jayson that I was falling in love with him and he tells me he has to go get swim trunks. I mean yeah I know that's where he was going to begin with but really? I turn around and go back outside where Caroline is sitting. She can see the look on my face.

"Oh no, what's wrong?"

"I opened up and even told him I was falling in love with him and it's like he freaked out or either he doesn't feel the same. I tell him that and he replies with he has to go get swim trunks and he left." I'm thinking to myself I just over heard Jayson tell Caroline his feelings for me. That's the only reason I opened up.

"Oh babe. He was probably just shocked and taken back by how open you were. Trust me he does care for you. He cares a lot. You know I would not be saying this if it weren't true. I can see how much he adores you. He came all the way here to make sure you were ok. I need to find me a guy who would do that. Don't make that face. I'm sure when he gets back he will explain why he acted that way. Until then lets go up stairs and put on our bikinis. You will wow him"

I agree and we go up stairs to change into our swim wear. Caroline grabs my white tube top bikini and throws me my black halter top bikini. The bottoms on mine are thong while her bottoms are boy shorts.

"You look hot. If I were a man I'd be all over you." Carolina laughs looking at our reflections in my tall bathroom mirror.

"I just hope Jayson sees me that way. Come on. I think I just heard a door shut. He's probably back."

We both throw on a swim suit cover before walking back down stairs. As we are walking down the stairs I see Jayson walk in the front door with a bag plus some flowers. Caroline notices as well.

"I'll be out back waiting on yall. Do not have too much fun in here." She whispers while smiling at Jayson before walking out.

I stop at the end of the stair case as Jayson walks up to me.

"I'm sorry."

"What is it that you are sorry for exactly? You didn't do anything wrong. I told you how I felt and you walked away from me."

"Look Scarlet. That night I saw you in the bar after we bumped into each other, I planned on getting into your pants and walking away. I was horny. I'm ashamed for even thinking this was but I did. Then when we had dinner and sex that night, I realized I didn't just want to have one night with you. Sex with you was something amazing. You had me feeling ways I haven't felt in a very long time. Then earlier when you told me you were sorry for falling in love with me, I got scared. I didn't know what to say. Well I knew what I wanted to say but I chickened out and had to get out of here as fast as I could."

I waited. I knew there had to be more he wanted to say.

Grabbing my hands he pulls me closer to him. " I'm sorry. I really am. I will tell you that you aren't the only one feeling that way. I do feel the same but I can't say those words just yet. I have to know what ever this is that we have going on is going to go somewhere and it isn't just going to end. So I hope when I say I want you in my life, that is enough for now. "

I can't help but smile at him. I was planning on giving him a hard time but the look on his face right now, I can't bring myself to do it. "That is enough for now. I understand what you are saying." I lean up on my tippy toes and press my lips to his. "Now go get changed and meet us outside. Do you want a bottle of water or anything? I'm going to grab some drinks before I go out."

"I'll take a water that's fine." He says as he goes to walk up the stairs to my bedroom. Before he makes it all the way up he turns around smiling, " I can't wait to see you in your bathing suit."

I blush and rush into the kitchen to grab the drinks. I don't understand how he can make me feel this way just from simple words.

"Lord, I didn't think you were ever going to come out! Where is Jayson? Please tell me he didn't leave" Caroline said from her spot in the pool. She was laid out on a float with shades on.

Before I could answer Jayson walked out.

"Earth to Scarlet. Breath bitch!" Caroline shouted from the pool.

I hadn't even realized I stopped breathing. Jayson came out shirtless and Jesus I will never get tired of seeing that toned body of his. He gave me that signature grin of his and I'm telling you if Caroline wasn't watching I probably would have jumped him right here.

"I'm fine. Geez. You don't have to out me like that."

"You know if you take a picture it would last longer. Then you could see my body any time you wanted to." Jayson leaned down kissing my cheek before running and jumping into the pool causing Caroline to scream as water splashed all over her.

"You ass hole. What the hell!"

I couldn't help but laugh. Seeing my bestfriend and my ... what ever he is splashing water at each other sent a warm feeling through my body.

"Come on! Get on in! " The two of them yelled at me from the water.

I knew Jayson was staring at me as I went to take my swim suit cover off so I turned around. The first site he got was my ass. I could almost swear I heard him gasp but I continued to slowly remove the cover until it was completely over my head.

Before Caroline could catch on to what I was doing , I run and jump in right beside her float causing her to flip off.

Jayson is laughing and Caroline is yelling at me. "Bitch! What the hell is wrong with you guys?"

Caroline jumps on me causing me to go under with her.

"Mind if I borrow Scarlet for a few?" Jayson swims up behind us.

"Go ahead, I might kill her so you better have at her while you can." Caroline smiles at me.

"Can we talk for a minute?" Jayson asks me.

I go down to the shallow end of the pool so that I can sit on the side of the pool. Jayson stands in between my legs. He's staring at me.

"Are you going to talk or keep undressing me with your eyes?" I nudge him playfully.

Smiling he says, "I wasn't undressing you with my eyes this time. I'm just taking in how beautiful you are. I got a call earlier while I was out. I have to leave tomorrow. I don't want to but I have business I have to take care of. So much for having a week away."

My heart sinks. I didn't want him to leave but his business comes first.

"I'm sorry. I wanted to spend more time with you. Is there anyway I could take you out to dinner tonight?" His hand grips my chin softly tilting my face up to look at him.

"I would love that. We need to talk before you leave anyways."

"Uh-oh. I'm not sure if I like the sound of that"

"Hey" I lean into him. Stopping before my lips touch his. "I'm not telling you I don't want to ever see you again or anything like that." I close the distance between us and kiss him passionately.
