Author's Note: Sorry I haven't updated in a long while! I haven't been feeling too up to writing these past couple months, so I took a little break. Also, I accidentally posted chapter 9 twice, so sorry about that haha

Anyway, hope you enjoy this chapter!

Kade finished his shift early that morning and went to his cabin to get some rest. On his way, he saw a small group of Aphrodite kids giggling as he passed.
What are they laughing about? he wondered. He shook off the feeling of discomfort this had set upon him and continued on his way to the Apollo cabin. Once inside, he noticed a few Apollo girls whispering to each other. He overheard part of their conversation and frowned, but ignored them and went to his bed to sleep.
The boy got into bed and closed his eyes. He couldn't stop thinking about those campers. What were they talking about? He didn't have a crush on anyone.
After a bit of contemplation, Kade's exhaustion overwhelmed him and he fell asleep.

Agi awoke the next morning in the infirmary. She yawned and attempted to sit up, but winced and fell back with a small groan. She looked around and spotted Kit in a nearby cot, still asleep. She had asked for her notebook earlier, and it now sat by her bedside. She grabbed the notebook and a pen, and started to write.
Ten minutes later, she heard a faint ringing sound in her ears. Something shone above her, a bright silver light. The light brown haired girl looked up to see a shining olive branch directly above her head.
A largely audible gasp spread through the infirmary. Agamya looked around, for the first time in her life she was utterly confounded.
A chorus of whispers broke out almost immediately. Agi overheard one kid say, "Lucky kid, getting claimed so fast."
Kit had awoken by now and was fighting off two medics trying to get them to stay put. The child of Hypnos was attempting to use Agi's getting claimed as a distraction to make an escape. They reluctantly gave up after a minute.
Agamya racked her brain for what this sign could possibly mean. She knew it was the sign of Athena, the goddess of wisdom. What she didn't know was why the sign was hovering over her head.
Eventually the chatter died down and someone approached the confused girl's bed. "Congrats on getting claimed. Not everyone's godly parent shows up that quickly."
"So does that mean my godly parent is Athena?" Agi pondered aloud.
"Sure does," replied the helper.
With that, the girl's resented lack of information was torn apart and replaced by a much-welcomed answer.
