"are you all ready?" levi asks.
the group nods nervously. you look over at hange again, making a silent vow to protect her. she felt your gaze and smiled at you. the captain opens the trap door and you arrive at another door which you, and everyone else believed was the door to wherever eren and historia were.
sasha slams open the door and you frantically roll the barrels full of gunpowder down the crystal staircase. what is this place? this material is so shiny i'm going to go blind!!
the room fills with smoke and you see armin and the others shooting the signal flairs. you rush forward as fast as possible. bloodcurdling screams echoed throughout the shiny cave. we're they the yells of your teammates or the enemy? you shut your eyes and try not to think and you hear a satisfied grumble behind you, along with gunshots.
quickly turning around to face the guy, you send one of the hooks on your gear into his chest. "sorry," you mutter and watch his limp body fall to the ground.
out of all of the cutting and screaming you heard, you recognized hange's overconfident voice yelling, "those two shots were way off! where are you aiming?"
you follow the voice and made it just in time to see hange being thrown onto a crystal pillar, probably by the woman she was talking to earlier. using all the rage you felt, you raced to the spot where blond bitch was standing you swung a blade towards her neck. she blocked it barely, and sent the blade behind you, slicing you in the process. then her counterattack, 2 shots towards the center of your body.
you didn't care if you got hurt of course,
anything for you, hange.
with your left blade that was still intact, you blocked the bullets and it snapped. you wasted no time, switching out your blade and cutting across her torso just as you saw captain levi do earlier and across her throat too. too shallow.
you've always had this problem, even fighting titans. you knew your physical strength wasn't good enough.
"retreat!" the woman you just injured ordered. injury. you raced to hange that was lying on the ground. just a shoulder wound, nothing too major. i failed to protect her in the end.
you hurried and bandaged her up and leaned in to give her a small kiss, while everyone raced over.
"what happened?!"
"hange!"
"squad leader!!"
not right now, there are people here. "she's fine, just a shoulder wound. i patched her up though.", you reply.
(few min later,, after the titan transformation and the cave is shaking)
"moblit, y/n! take hange and get out of here, while the hole is still stable!"
see? my skills aren't needed here..
"understood!" you both said, but you sightly less enthusiastic.
the short old man gave you a look that said, "i need to talk to you later." which because of this, everything you've done remotely imperfect rushed into your mind, since the captain is quite nitpick-y. ooooh no what did i do wrong?? what did i do wrong?? eventually you arrived at the thoughts of the activities you did with hange. the "activities".
"y/n, are you ok? you're turning quite red," moblit said.
you let out an inhuman squeak and cover your face with.. your hands. the poor man gave you a less than pleasant look, a look of concern... maybe?? "nope! i mean yes i'm fine!" you mutter.

is that seriously the first thing mr eyebrow forehead is going to ask? when hange is unconscious over here??? wow. what an amazing commander. he cares so much about his comrades.
despite your unpleasant thoughts, he was the commander, so you report, "the rest of them are in there dealing with that mess. hange was the only casualty, the rest are fine.. maybe."

you clear your throat and ask, "anyways! where can we put her?" ah yes. breathing. very helpful. "sir if you haven't noticed they're unconscious,,"
he points. points. he points to an empty wagon near the back and you and moblit take hange there. after, moblit tells you that he'd go give the commander the details and you genuinely thanked him.
"this time it's you that went off and got hurt."
you lay next to her and place your head on her chest, listening to her heart beat. soft, slow beats. you lifted yourself up and kissed her. her lips shifted to fit yours. when you tried pulling away she didn't let go. her eyes opened and looked into yours. you forcefully push away, "sorry.." you mutter.
"stay with me," you were pulled in closer to her. you slide your hands around her waist and back. further up you felt her breasts and again felt her gentle heartbeat.
"don't be shy, just not too rough," she said, followed by a beautiful smile.
"ill stay here," and you fall asleep curled up by her body. you didn't realize you were this exhausted.
