Chapter 3

1 month later...

(Y/N)'s POV...

Me and Kite have become good friends over this last month. We both fully recovered after a week, and have been travelling because we were in no condition to fight the Chimera Ants. He has been opening up to me recently and we have been happy.

We got to this lake in the sunlight as we began to fish for dinner. Kite did the fishing and I got the fire up and running.

"Kite? Have you caught any fish?" I asked, making the fire light brightly.

"Yes. I have caught about five soo far. Just going to catch three more." He answered as I smiled and sat near the fire.

After he caught enough fish we began to cook them. It was starting to get freezing cold as I shivered.

As (Y/N) shivered, Kite noticed this and looked around. Out of nowhere, she leaned up against him, arms wrapped around his body. He blushed into a deep red and wrapped an arm around her as well.

When the fish finished cooking, they began to eat them silently.

Later that night, Kite and (Y/N) slept under a tree to keep the rain from them. The weather was terrible as Kite slept through it like a baby, and (Y/N) was shivering in fear. The thunder and lightning was making it worse. When it got louder and closer, (Y/N) yelped and tightly hugged Kite.

"K-Kite..." She shivered as Kite woke up quickly. He hugged her back as she cried into his chest. "I d-don't like thunder a-and lightning..."

"Don't be scared. It won't harm you." He stroked her hair as they layed back down. This time, (Y/N) was laying her head on Kite's chest. His hair covered the mojority of her body as she was now peacefully asleep. He also felt happier as he went back to sleep as well.

Meanwhile, with Gon and Killua they were waiting to hear some news on the whereabouts of Kite and (Y/N). It has been a week and they receieved a phone call. They were both alive and well. They wanted to be careful, so someone trapped them both into a cage, making their bodies very small.

"What happened!?" (Y/N) yelled, trying to get out of the cage, but failed. "Hey! What's the meaning of this!?" She yelled up at thr much larger person who trapped them, but they didn't hear. "Ugh... Kite?" She looked at the man who was standing still.

"They're taking us to Gon and Killua." He answered as a bump caused them both to fall over onto their stomach or back. "I was not expecting this."

"Neither was I." She sat down and decided to sleep for a while.

When they woke up the cage was placed onto the floor.

"They might be dangerous, so be very careful." One man spoke to Gon.

"I will." He nodded with pride as Kite and (Y/N) got out of the cage and returned to their original sizes. "Kite... (Y/N)..."

"Gon!" (Y/N) yelled and ran to him to hug him, but was kicked into the wall by Killua. "Ouch..." Kite just stared in shock and slight anger. Gon looked at (Y/N), then at Kite. "Bastard..." As Gon walked closer to Kite, the taller male walked over to her to see if she was okay or not.

"Are you okay?"

"Y-Yes, I'm fine." She stood up.

Gon and Killua looked at what they were doing and realised that they aren't being controlled as all, and there was no need to attack them. Killua now felt guilty about this.

"Kite? (Y/N)? What happened to you both?" Gon asked with tears in his prideful eyes.

"Let me explain, kid." Kite began. "When you were knocked unconscious, Killua ran away with you. (Y/N) then began to fight that strong Chimera Ant, and we both got badly injured, and none of us were ready to die yet. The Chimera spared us because of the determination in (Y/N)'s eyes. Then she used her Nen to heal my arm, but she was too injured to move. I helped her as well and then we began to travel with each other since we are in no condition to fight."

"So that's how she wasn't able to block my kick." Killua mummbled.

"Correct. Our reflexes cause pain, so we still have to wait." Kite looked at (Y/N).

"Next time, don't kick me like that!" She yelled at the boy, causing him to take a step back. "There was no need to trap us like rats."

"We had no choice." Someone spoke from the shadows.

"Who's there?"

"My name is Shoot." He walked from the shadows to reveal himself. "I had to use my trick to get you both stuck inside my cage because we were that eager tl bring you here, and you two could've hurt us."

"And I am Knuckle." He walked from the shadows, holding a small, golden puppy.

"Aww! Soo cute! Can I pet it?" (Y/N) jumped in cuteness overload.

"Sure."

She walked over to Knuckle and began to stroke the puppy gently. It barked and licked her, enjoying the attention.

The next day~

(Y/N) woke up the next morning in a bed. She didn't remember what happened and noticed that there was another bed next to her. Kite was sleeping in it. He looked soo peaceful.

"Good morning, Kite."
